A COUPON AT MEZZANOTTE?
No way... we would never do that! (although my mom told me never to say "never").
But for the remainder of February and March we will be doing a 20% discount on dinner (food and wine) on Mondays and Tuesdays. No coupons or gift certificates needed - just tell your server that you read about it in the newsletter.

REMEMBER: MONDAY AND TUESDAY NIGHTS 20% OFF FOOD AND WINE!
FRENCH WINE DINNER AT CAPRICCIO
We had our first French wine tasting and food pairing at Capriccio last Tuesday and it was a lot of fun. We tasted 5 wonderful wines from Bourdeaux.
Here are some pictures from the event:

ATTENTTION: WE WILL BE CLOSED ON SATURDAY
We are hosting a private event at Mezzanotte this Saturday 2/20.  One of our good friends/customers is celebrating a BIG birthday.

Capriccio will be open and operating during its normal hours on Saturday. Sorry for the inconvenience!
THE FINE ART OF PACING A MEAL

This is a subject dear and near to my heart. It is not much of a problem now but 5 years ago when we first opened Mezzanotte we would get complains on the speed of the food coming out. My question: why would somebody want to go out to eat fine food (which, by definition, takes time to prepare) and be in a hurry?

Well, I guess we all adapted. We (at the restaurants) became more proficient at getting things out faster without compromising quality and customers (the small percentage that wanted things faster) got used to a more leisurely pace. Undoubtedly we probably lost many customers that were still unhappy. But there really is no solution other than lower the standards of quality - and that is something we won't do.

Eating out should be a real pleasure of enjoying good food, good wine, good company and good conversation. In this hurried and busy world we live in we need breaks to catch up with spouses and friends. And nothing is better than a great meal at a good restaurant.  Here is an article on the subject:

Cheers!
