SUNDAY SURVIVAL KIT (THE BOX)
On the 4th of July weekend we experimented with the "Survival Kit" or "The Box". The Box consisted of 2 very nice cuts of already seasoned NY Strips, vegetables marinated and ready to grill, and 2 portions of our delicious Tiramisu. The idea was to facilitate the enjoyment of your day of leisure by the pool or the backyard. This weekend we are going to offer it again:

SUNDAY BOX - $39 each
includes 2 cuts of NY Strip, vegetables for grilling, and 2 pieces of Tiramisu.

So, all you will need is to turn on the grill, open a nice bottle of wine and grill your steaks and veggies and enjoy your dessert.

Please order any time through Saturday 5 PM. Your order will be prepared and ready for you to pickup Saturday between 5 and 10 PM.

SHARING A BAD EXPERIENCE
I thought of sharing a bad experience so, hopefully, you don't have to go through it. My computer (laptop) died last night! After extensive troubleshooting with tech support people from the Philippines (and they were very good, by the way) we came to the conclusion that my operating system got somehow corrupted and needed to be reinstalled. This meant that I would loose all the data I had!
Fortunately I backup my data every once in a while. My last backup was on June 30, 2009 so I lost only 1 month of data. This was a lot of data but not as bad as loosing years worth of data! so I am very thankful. Unfortunately I forgot to backup my email boxes and my last backup dated back to May of 2008! So I lost all my mail for the past year!!

So, please, backup often and make sure you have a plan of what you need to backup. Don't get caught with very old backups and/or missing folders and email boxes.

Loosing data can not only ruin your day - it could ruin a business!

Hope this helps,

Gerry
FEATURED WINES OF THE WEEK

Wine Bar

This week we are featuring fantastic wines from Argentina. They are very good and inexpensive. If anything good is coming out of this recession is the appreciation for great values such as wines from Spain, Italy and Argentina.

FEATURE WINES AT MEZZANOTTE AND CAPRICCIO

Sauvignon Blanc - Black River Estates (Mendoza, Argentina) Bottle $24, Glass $6
Very nice color. Fine and delicate citrus and herbs aromas. Very harmonic and balanced in mouth. We recommend to drink it by itself or to pair it with pasta, seafood, white meat and vegetable dishes. A delightful varietal. Clean and sparkling finish. Actually the best recommendation is to have a glass while you check the menu out - its wonderful aromas and crispiness are a great opening for the night.

Merlot - Telteca Oak (Mendoza, Argentina)
Bottle $24, Glass $6
Dont make things too complicated: real and pure fruit, jammy, rich and spicy. A light structure. Refreshing, intense. Long and elegant on the finish with well integrated tannins. Not too complex, not too serious, to drink with friends. Accompanies light dishes very well.

Cabernet Sauvignon - Telteca Oak (Mendoza, Argentina)
Bottle $24 - Glass $6
100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Mendoza. This bright red cab has aromas of ripe red fruits and spices with chocolate and vanilla hints. In the mouth you can feel an optimum structure, sweet flavor and a strong character.  The obvious pairing is red meats, flavorful and heartier (red) pastas, lamb, strong-flavored cheese, and chocolates (especially dark).
