 That's so 2007

Dear  ,

That's so 2007

 So 2007

Recently we invited a young search engine optimization expert to join us for dinner. We mentioned an SEO strategy and his reply was, "That's so 2007". Honestly our first reaction was, "Have we turned into the Flintstones?". He departed and we did a reality check: 5 years is a lifetime in search engine marketing and social media.

Honestly, it was a major wake up call. The life cycles of products, technology and trends are moving at unprecedented speed. In 2012, if you blink you can miss a major trend. It's a wonder that our brains can keep up. In the last 15 years the average human brain is receiving 5 times more amount of information per day than it did in 1997. We are also adopting new forms of technology at a pace that makes it increasingly more difficult to learn and adapt. Just look at the time line below.

Technology and Social Media Milestones

  • February 2005 You Tube created (2012 over 4 billion videos are now viewed per day)
  • March 2006 Twitter created (2012 300 million tweets per day)
  • September 2006 Facebook opens up to broad scale membership (2012 over 100 billion hits per day)
  • July 2007 the iPhone released
  • October 2008 first Android phone released
  • March 2011 Pinterest beta test begins
  • July 2011 Google + introduced
  • December 2011 the 500,000th iPhone App developed
  • August 2012 the estimated date of the 1,000,000,000th Facebook user.

If none of this amazes you, then you can skip to the end of the story. However, we are willing to bet that you are as shocked as we are about the rate of change and explosive technology adaption that we are experiencing. The message resonates loud and clear that we are marketing and branding in an entirely new world.

So many of our "proven" methods and products are now considered "retro". Each generation: Millennial, Generation X, Boomers and Greatest have never been more diverse. The Greatest Generation may never use a Medicare cell phone app but the Boomers probably will.

At MCM we are not only watching all of these trends, we are adapting them from Facebook to Pinterest. In 2012 a smart marketer can't blink. Our commitment to you is that we will always stay on the leading age of these technologies to help you create the most impactful impressions.

Whenever you are thinking trade show, sales meeting, product launch, new web site, employee recognition or social media, you can trust that we understand the technology to help you connect with your audience. No matter what your goal is, we ready to listen and help you with your next challenge.

Trap Tech Travel gear is Hot!

Trap tech

When we hit the road it's no longer just the laptop that we carry. In many cases the trusty lap top is simply left behind for the iPad, the e-Reader, iPod, Kindle Fire or the next tablet that is about to be released.

Many of our corporate clients love to provide logoed cases as gifts. They look great, protect expensive hardware and are a smart place to showcase your brand. The challenge is that all of these high tech devices come in different shapes and sizes, along with countless cord sets and chargers.

Tech Trap technology solves all of this with its innovative crisscross elastic cord design. It is easily capable of holding several of your favorite technology tools and will keep them safe and organized. There is more good news in that the TSA does not require you to remove these devices from the Tech Trap when you pass though security.

This great product comes in numerous sizes and is priced to deliver value. For more details check out our web page at MCM Productions.

 Spring?

Staying on our theme, how did it become the first day of spring so quickly? Everything including time seems to speed by more rapidly. The general economy is picking up in many areas and we are observing that there is less inventory and lead times are stretching out. Our message is clear. Don't hesitate or in the blink of your eye the opportunity may be lost.

Thanks for taking the time to catch up with us
