Yes, it's a line from "Ferris Bueller's Day Off". It also describes how quickly 2011 is moving along. How did the middle of July appear so soon? We suspect it had much to do with the entire USA not having any semblance of spring.
Despite what feels like the year is flying past at a record clip the promotional products industry is showing strong signs of a recovery and our office is very busy. We see an interesting mix of returning clients and many new ones. The mix of business is extremely diverse with a noticeable growth in fundraising.
The message we see is that businesses are universally investing in their marketing efforts. While there is still much buzz about the role of social media, we are convinced that it is but a piece of the pie and not the whole pie. Trade shows, gifts with purchase, employee recognition, branding, customer loyalty and a host of other strategies cannot be entirely accomplished via Twitter, Facebook and Blogging.
People still gravitate toward stuff and not just another App for their phone. We see many great synergistic opportunities between what is taking place with this fascinating era of social media and the latest innovations in the promotional products industry like cell phone skins. We also see time tested products such a journal books being as popular as ever.
We don't foresee the second half of 2011 slowing down. If you have a trade show, a new product or service release, a corporate meeting or event or anything that needs to make a powerful impression, give us a call now. As Ferris said,"If you don't stop and look around once in a while you could miss it".
