Warning Signs!
Dear  ,

Warning LabelsWarning!  Do Not Purchase Any Promotional Products Without Reading These Instructions!

Here is an excerpt from our soon to be published Journal Book. It contains our 10 key points on how to plan a successful promotional campaign.  They are essential steps to ensure success.

1.    Establish a goal. Examples - brand awareness, increase sales, customer loyalty, employee morale, entering a new market, communicating a strategy.

2.    Make sure your goals are measurable. Examples - sales growth, profit margin increase, quality metrics, customer satisfaction, web click throughs, enrollment, market share.

3.    Analyze your market and audience. Understand the demographics, Examples - age, income, geography, job description, gender, education. Factor the environment including economic conditions, seasonality, office place, outdoor activity.

4.    Weigh all of the critical factors. Examples - number of participants, budget, cost of distribution, time table to execute, legal compliance, media requirements, IT support, eco-impact.

5.    Brainstorm with the entire organization. Get input. Speak to potential users. Just because you like it doesn't insure success. Make certain that all effected departments are in the communications loop.

6.    Be fact based and take the "gut feel" out of the equation.

7.    Compile your data and perform a SWOT Analysis.

8.    Develop a "time line" with all critical dates. Include planning, analysis, quotation, delivery of material, distribution of material, collateral material (e-mail, signage, and other media), measurement and review.

9.    Solicit feedback from participants.

10.Execute and evaluate.

When you take the time to follow these steps your promotional products will seamlessly integrate into your campaign and will yield the maximum return on your investment.

Remote URL Management for Web Keys.

This technology is so new and hot that it doesn't yet have a slick name. The inventor calls it Remote URL Management Via Web Key. If you Google that, MCM Productions lands
page one - position one. We tell the technical story in our August 17 blog.
The short version - You can get either a custom web key or button that is programmed with a unique user ID. What is unique about this program is that the visits to the url are recorded for you to analyze. This is the ultimate in web traffic analytics.

It is a perfect tool for highly focused web marketing. The linked blog post lists a number of applications. If you are planning a web site based marketing program this device is the "key" to opening the door and tracking the activity.

You can also change the web site URL remotely from your PC or mobile device. This way your web content can change as frequently as your messaging requirements.

Take a few clicks to see which blog posts have been getting the heaviest traffic. "Message in a Bottle" shows you how to take a water bottle and with a hang tag or insert you greatly expand the products messaging capabilities. "The Next Status" Symbol speaks to the ever increasing popularity and image of custom shopping bags. This is a trend that is really taking off as more clients are taking advantage of custom bags.  Lastly if you want to make a really lasting impression with flash drives, check out "Personalized Flash Drives".
