Trinity Hall Pub Sign
Greetings!

We hope the start of the new year has gone well for you and yours, and that you have avoided the nasty coughing and spluttering that was going around.

Pub Activities Of course, there's not much of that at the Pub, with our Hot Irish Toddies always at the ready, once the first sniffle is heard, we rush the steaming glass of Whisky, Cloves, Sugar & Lemon and knock the symptoms and the odd chill out in no time!

USA V CHILE on SATURDAY 9PM
We'll have the match on the Provost's Corner and ready to cheer on the first match of the year for the new team! This will be the start of the development of the team for 2014's World Cup challenges ahead!

We are launching off on a busy series of  events and fun things to do starting this very weekend with our first Pints For Prostates beer tasting fest.
We have kept the schedule around the first week of February open just to allow for any SuperBowl highjinks that may come our way, but then we're back to Pint Pouring contests, the Wolfe Tones and a new addition for the last week in February The Chieftain's will be coming to town to the new Winspear Opera house!. (Feb 26th)

    Accordion
Of course, these are besides all our usual fun and games, including a Balvenie Tasting on Tuesday next

- our friends from  Speyside in the Scottish highlands have appointed a new ambassador and among his first chores was to come visit the Dallas Tasting Guild!

The Rugby Season is almost back with us again and the start of Six Nations is only a couple of weeks out. We'll have the matches on, boththe PayPerView from Premium Sports and the free to see matches from BBC America!

There's a poker game at Molly Maguires in support of the Rose of Tralee near the end of this month with $500 & $1,000 gift packs for the winners.  Look for more details below!

Need another reason to enjoy a Beer?Pints

Join us this Sunday afternoon for a little beer tasting, prostate awareness, music, beer tasting, conversation & a little more awareness...!

We're gathering this Sunday afternoon to raise a pint and a dollar or two to support Pints for Prostates. Knowing how uncomfortable most of us are about this area, a group was formed by survivors to encourage a little proactivity through conversation in pubs in beer gardens around the country and the world!

We're bringing thirty beers out, each taster has a card with ten coupons, you decide which ten you'd like to taste, each offered in 6 ounce portions. Light snacks will be available, and obviously the best selection of snacks & beers is always available at the start, but come anytime from 2 - 6 PM.

After a great beer, has to be a grand Whisky?

The Balvenie    The 25th of January is famous worldwide for the celebration of a Scottish Poet - Robert Burns and a great excuse to bring forth some delicious whiskies to toast the man and his country!

While we shan't offer the Address to the Haggis, we will sample through six great Balvenies, including an opportunity to review the 17 year special editions from Madeira, Rum & Peated Casks as well as the new standard 14 year Caribbean Rum Cask for the regular $25+tax

If you care to dress for Robert's Birthday, we'd be happy to reward the Scottish Society of Dallas with a $5 donation for every guest in kilt or bonnet! Reservations by email to whiskies@trinityhall.tv if you please!
As mentioned, this will be Nick Pollacchi's first evening with us at Trinity Hall, as The Balvenie's Ambassador,  he heard so many nice things about our guests from Andy that he is looking forward to introducing the 17 Year Peated Cask!

Pint Pouring PINT POUR CONTEST

Tuesday Feb 15th

The Third Annual Pint Pour Contest is coming up in February, with a win in our house (Izzy 2009) and the Old Monk ( Riley 2010) there should be fierce competition to claim the bragging rights this year!
We'll expect a stiff challenge from The Common Table's recent addition (Ollie has joined their team, closer to home and more behind the bar time) but there's also room for the non-professional to get in! Amateur slots will be available to the top local non bartender pourers starting at 6 PM!  Watch for Pour your own Practice Nights in the weeks ahead!

Derek Warfield & Young WolfeTones DEREK WARFILED

of the original WolfeTones

Returning on their biggest ever North American Tour, Derek Warfield is bringing back the Young Wolfe Tones for a visit to Trinity Hall on
Thursday, February 17th

A night of song & sustinence from the band that began way back in the 1960's in Ireland, and is traveling still! A funny thing I learned the last time that Derek was in town, was that he used to play a place (The Old Shieling Hotel) when my father's first cousin Jackie Donnelly ran the place! He said the hospitality was the same, but the weather here was quite a bit better!

Join us for a no cover night of Ireland's best band for ballads and songs of old!

An Internation organization that promotes and maintains interest in the original Irish Music, Language & Dance through education and competitions!

For musicians, dancers, gaelige students and those that enjoy the sharing of community, this will be a great weekend hosted by CCE San Antonio and your host Tom Macken! Check out the calendar for the event from Thursday through Sunday!
