Greetings!
We had a great opportunity to stand with the FC Dallas fans in Toronto last weekend and watch a great match surrounded by soccer fans from across the country. FC Dallas & the club owners, the Hunt family did an amazing job of coordinating fans, supporters clubs, team families & a very large traveling party that invaded the city for the weekend. Highlights included a couple of sightings of Santa - the city had a parade for the jolly old man on the same day! - a grand pre-match gathering at Shoeless Joes followed by a march on the stadium with Drums, Flags and cheering DFW fans who were properly steeled against the slightly chilly 30 degree temps. While the match & cup were lost in a last minute error on the field, the team and club have shown that there is plenty of opportunities for them in the seasons ahead, and its apparent that the fans are energized to cheer them on, it might be the year to get in on a mini season ticket pacakge as a gift to a soccer fan you know! The local teams continue to challenge for silverware with SMU Men's soccer playing North Carolina tomorrow evening in the quarter finals of the NCAA Championship, we'll have it up on Gametracker and we'll look for a radio or tv feed online. Then the school's fans switch to Football for Saturday's USA Conference finals in Orlando showing on ESPN at 11 AM - and on here at the Pub if you are not going to Florida! Last night was the official kick off of the holiday season here in Mockingbird Station with Woodrow Wilson HS's Show Choir caroling, Texas Symphony Orchestra, playing and a movie screening too! There's a very festive look around the station, so when you need a little pick me up during the holidays stop in and enjoy rich Irish Coffee, watch the lights and enjoy the brief rest while checking your list! |

 A Single Barrel Whiskey Tasting 12-15-10
This tasting will be at the Pub on December 15th, Brian Devoret of Scott's Selection will be with us to present and describe each of the six expressions. $60 per person, limited food, 6 samples of very exclusive whiskies! Our line up will be posted on the Tasting Page tomorrow evening, once we are confident that the bottles have arrived in Dallas, we don't want to disappoint with a last minute switch!
This is a great Birthday or early Christmas present for the whisky drinker in your life, and its ok to accompany and not drink whiskey, just make a note when you email the reservation and we'll set an extra seat! |

Irish Music Evening at Lochranns on Sat
Friends and members of the Irish music community that know Michael Harrison have arranged for a night packed with Irish Music in Lochranns this Saturday evening!
You may remember a number of nights hosted by Jed Marum here at Trinity Hall where proceeds were donated to the Harrison family as Michael continues his treatment for Throat Cancer. Visit the Facebook page for details and band line up, and for details on offering your best wishes or donations directly. Michael & Jed helped us tremenduously when we first opened our doors in 2001, with the start of music at the Pub and playing a couple of lonely shifts to start!

Live Music This Weekend
 The Irish Rogues have been playing the first Saturday night of each month at Trinity Hall Dallas for the past couple of years! These are the longest running sing-along bands in town and next year will celebrate 30 years on stage! There are numerous alumni who have sat in with the band throughout the years including Ed Macke & Red McWilliams
So, join us for this weekends festivities, and block your calendar for our Irish New Years party from 3-7PM on Dec 31st. A CHANGE CAN BE AS GOOD AS A REST!
Since opening in 2001, Trinity Hall has celebrated the arrival of the New Year with a double-barreled party.
First, from 3-7PM we host the Irish NYE Countdown & Singalong for families, then directly after a delightful evening with dinner & entertainment.
This year we'll continue the afternoon tradition, but will open up the evening for a seat upon arrival party, without reservations or set menu. Guests and parties can join us throughout the evening, before or after dinner elsewhere perhaps and then join us for the big countdown!

We held off finishing the email until after this morning's planned announcement by FIFA to tell us where soccer's World Cup 2018 and 2022 would be held. In the soccer world there has been many anxious fans hoping against hope that their country would be the host nation to the world's greatest game, unfortunately that includes both us and our British friends too! Turns out that even with Beckham, a future King, Bill Clinton and even Morgan Freeman on the pitching teams they couldn't beat the potential for new markets in Russia (Host 2018) and Qatar (Host 2022)
So at least you can plan your vacations now, Brazil '14, Russia '18 & Qatar'22!
We're looking forward to a fun season with groups and families getting together here at the Pub and sharing a little festive cheer, if your office is looking for a change from Ballroom Buffets, give us a call and we'll hold you some space! Hope to see you for the Whisky Tasting on the 15th, please avoid disappointment by reserving a seat this weekend we are close to filling with only a few tentative slots while guests wait for our list of Whiskies to be posted tomorrow evening!
