Greetings!
 I hope you have had half as good a week as our friends at The Rangers! We may not be big on Baseball here at the Pub, but we are fortuante enough to have a couple of staff & guests that are super passionate and excited about our hometown club's success so far this year! We're hoping you'll come out to cheer on the team and enjoy the club's amazing performance so far. We'll have them on the Big Screen with volume tonight & tomorrow afternoon, and again during their away matches in NYC next week.
The great weather is doing the fair grownds the world of good, and traffic through Mockingbird Station is getting a little boost too! If you are planning your assault on the Fried Butter, Fried Beer or Turkey Legs this final weekend, there is no easier way to get to Fair Park, and avoid all the parking hassles in the neighboohood, than a ride on DART. Come park and ride with us at Mockingbird Station, stop in for a pint before or a nice nightcap to end off the evening! Bring us your ticket Stub and we'll take 10% off your meal or dessert! We have great plans for the weekend for you, starting with early soccer matches, switching over to College Football and Rangers Playoffs, then Back to soccer and onto Music and thats just one day! The next day we add in Pro Football, Live Irish Ceili Dancing and the areas best Pub Quiz Trivia Night
Next week we'll be enjoying delicious wines from Washington State, soft, smooth and rich fruits without the overbearing oak of California styles, tasting is hosted by our friend Steve Murphey who while friendly and approachable is actually among the top 3 Sommeliers of the State! (Wine Tasting & Baseball anyone?) |

 Live Irish Music & Ceili Dancing This Sunday!
It is that weekend again, when all the musicians come out to play! We're hosting the monthly Open Session in Allen on Sunday afternoon, if you play an instrument and want to brush up before the O'Flaherty Music Retreat at the end of the Month then this is your chance!
Of course, for those that don't play the next best thing is listening! Join us in Dallas during the same time and you'll be treated to the best of the Trinity Hall Session Players and the monthly Ceili dancing called by Michael & Susan Harrison! Last month we may have had 20-24 dancers with us, and its slow enough for first timers to get the hang of it and learn some new sets! |

 FC DALLAS on to the Playoffs Our other local team that's been doing extremely well, no not the cowboys... (intentionally small letters) is FC Dallas! Two away matches left to play in regular season and then on to the Playoffs! The team is 6 points off the best team in the league and with a little luck and a well placed loss on the other team, and FC Dallas should finish at the Top! Start blocking your date books for a couple of soccer events this week & next! :

Mockingbird Station is becoming quite the hotspot these days with the confluence of a great Football program at SMU - Thank you Coach Jones! - (Houston Cougars are coming up on the 23rd and intend to take over the place for their pre-game tailgate party - the last time they brought the marching band along so thats always fun!) Tom Arnold the Comedian is scheduled to host shows at Hyenas in a week or two, expecting a big crowd in for that! - FC Dallas Fan Rally for the Playoff Kick offs will be here, and Outdoor screenings and parties on the patios throughout the great weather.
