That cool breeze you felt this week was also an indicator that Octoberfest is coming soon! The official start is September 18th in Munich, but we may start a little earlier around here! Our intent is to try as many draft octobers as we can, 2 taps rotating through one keg and switched, so we can sample all the styles over 6 weeks. German, USA, Craft

 Are you still outside breathing in that fresh air? What a great relief the cooling temperatures are, even if we know they made build at least once more before the cool of Autumn! Who is this fine Gentleman and young lady? Jonathan Wilson and daughter Kaitlyn. Jonathan is one of our team in Allen, and hosting his 4th Annual Icanfightcancer.org fundraiser by donating all bar tips raised for the day to the foundation. Read more about Jonathan and his family's challenges with cancer, and how they have decided to stand up through small events and personal efforts to assist in the search for cures. Barth & Sean are throwing in their tips too, so if you're out to watch FC Dallas , or fancy a little Irish Session Music, or could enjoy an night out with Jeff Phillips, then this is the Saturday to stop in to the Pub in Allen! Its been a full week with all the attention generated by Pastor Joe accomplishing the outrageous goal of gathering 60,000 items for North Dallas Kids, and enjoying food again after 21 days, the news trucks were lining up not to mention front page articles in the Allen American! A celebration of the achievement is planned for Saturday morning at the Pub with bounce houses, face painting, live youth music and a sampling of Chef Oscar's Irish Breakfasts! Stop in between 9-12Noon to meet a great group opf volunteers & supporters! GAA returned to the Pub with a riveting football match between Dublin & Cork in the All Ireland Semi Finals last Saturday, Dublin held the lead from the first minute, but those shady Corkmen snuck back into the game and kicked the winning point in injury time. More to come this weekend with Kildare taking on Down on Sunday morning! |

Pub Crawl & Events This Weekend
SMU Band Alumni - Big D Bash Saturday
A well organized and well behaved gang of about 40 guests will be gathering for trip downtown on Saturday around lunch! In an effort to build awareness and a donation or two for the Diamond M, the crew will be led on a tour of the new and improved downtown, visiting
The Press Box, Walt Garrison Bar at the Adolphus, City Tavern and returning to Trinity Hall for some Bread Pudding & Whiskey... sauce! Leaves Mockingbird at 12 noon, complimentary snack food at each outlet along the way.
DALLAS BECOMES CHICAGO - DART CRAWL
Watch out for the 250 local celebrities who take on the city and run a wild ride from Dart Station to Dart Station visiting Pubs and hostleries and generally having a blast in the way that L Riders in Chicago have been doing for years. This is an annual event that encompasses pubs from the most southern stop on the line all the way up to Park lane. Generally well behaved, at least early in the afternoon, but lets just say there may be some singing in the MBS station area as they return to base at 11PM!
