"A journey that began only a short time ago, encouraged along the way by friends, teachers and the most supportive parents in the world, and a critically important visit to a local Irish Pub, reaches a milestone and generates only a small amount of the recognition that Michael, Rachel & Daniel deserve for their efforts and achievements so far. We are proud to have been witness to the begining and even more proud of how well you have done for yourselves! We are so very proud for you all, and your Mom & Dad!!" |

Greetings!
Thank you for supporting Irish Music!
Every so often, a moment causes us to stop, look back, and try to remember how we started on this path. A voicemail Holly & I received this weekend was one of those occasions.
The call we missed was from our friends & regulars at Irish Music festivals throughout the country, Fred & Diane Stribling. Diane called to let us know that Daniel, Michael & Rachel had been to Fleadh Ceol 2010 in Cavan as three entrants in an Irish Musicians' competition that attracts over 12,000 players from around the world! Not only had they accounted for themselves well, within the week their abilities were recognized as top in class!
For our guests that enjoy our Saturday & Sunday sessions, or have been with us on St. Patrick's Day when we celebrate not just the fun of the day, but the true Irish Spirit of Ceol agus Gaol, or have had the chance to enjoy any of the many alumni of our homegrown Traditional Irish Music Education Society, we Thank You!
The funds raised for Flaherty's Music Retreats, the CD's bought to support TIMES and the encouragement offered to the musicians that entertain us, is all part of the journey traveled by The Stribling Family.
So, in closing we want you to know, that your support of Trinity Hall Irish Pub, which in turn is able to support the efforts of amazing musicians & willing teachers like Ken & Peggy Fleming, Kevin Brandwine, Gordon & Christy Mcleod and all 50+ instructor level players for Traditional Irish Music Education Society allows us today to say, we all know THE
All Ireland Uileann Pipe Champion 2010 & his brother the All Ireland #3 Bazouki player and we have seen them play at Trinity Hall, in home sessions, at Flaherty's retreat and hopefully in years to come, many more times again!
This year's Youth Camp for TIMES was attended by over 100 musicians under 18, how many more champions are in our midst as a result of the environment that you help to provide! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You for allowing us to be a small part of our amazing community of players, singers, listeners, and encouragers!
Join us as we say CONGRATULATIONS & SLAINTE MAITH to Daniel, Rachel, Michael, Diane & Fred and all their supporters, teachers & friends, we're proud to know you!
Marius & Holly Donnelly
& our Trinity Hall family! |
