WHAT IS A SINGLE HOP?

Most ESB's and many IPAs are flavored with a variety of hops some that generate higher Bitterness in the beer (great for high alcohol sweet styles) other Hops are introduced for aroma & airborne flavors (remember 80% of taste is in your nose!)

This special beer was brewed using only the new hybrid Hop known as DELTA!

The hybird is mildew resisitant, stays fresh longer and brings both qualities of bittering & aroma together. Come taste the beer and we'll chat some more!

     It may be a little quiet around Dallas this weekend, it looks like almost everyone has headed off to Ireland for one reason or another!

 

    There's a high society wedding in Carlow, although some of the guests on the list look pretty suspect... and then Adrienne Hussey and the Texas Rose Center are down in Tralee for the Festival this weekend! Someone caught a snap of her getting to know this year's Presenter!

 

RTE (Irish TV Station) is streaming the selection evening events live directly on their site. We will run it at the Pub, but you can catch it at work too!

 

So, as we see it, it is our responsibility to keep the rest of us non-travelers'  dance cards filled with activities and events so top in the pub this weekend for All Ireland Semi Finals on Sunday, Soccer both weekend days, Rugby from South Africa, Music everynight and a session both days too!

 

We've refreshed our draft selections so there's some new seasonals to enjoy like Harpoon's 100 Barrel Series ESB, and yes its true Kilkenny has returned to the taps!

 

Stop in and rest awhile, catch a movie at Angelika perhaps and then either enjoy our evening's Band or Pub Quiz Trivia which is still HUGE every Sunday evening!

NORTH DALLAS FOR KIDS

Pastor Joe Miller & the community have been super generous in collecting donations for the back to school program. If you haven't heard yet, a local pastor has been abstaining from food while soliciting school supplies for Children here in the community. The outrageous goal of 60,000 items has almost been reached and we want to help push it over the top! (We really want to feed Pastor Joe, hes been drinking only water for 17 days!)

So, we'll make you a deal, you make any donation to the cause by stopping by the trailer in Allen's parking lot and Pastor Joe will give you a $5 Gift Cert for the Pub. If you dine with us and want to donate on your tab or in cash, anything up to $20 and we'll give you a $5 gift Card, if you donate $25 or more we'll double the card to $10.
