I know this email is coming quick on the heels of our last one, but we had so much fun on Saturday that it was important to say THANK YOU! to everyone that helped make the day as sucessful as it was for our friends at St. Baldricks! I understand that by the end of the day on Saturday the unofficial total of donations was over $ 100,000 again!
If you missed the chance to be a part of our day on Saturday, there are still opportunities here in Dallas to assist or support the St Baldrick's Team. Donations are accepted year around on the Charity's website, and there are also links to events still to be held here in town! VISIT HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION
We are not letting any grass grow under our feet, so tomorrow evening we start the celebration of April and the arrival of Spring to DFW! This weekend sees the kickoff of The Dallas Cup, now starting its 30th Year! The biggest youth soccer tournie of the year, attracts teams from U12 to 19+ and from all continents of the globe! Its also the day to celebrate Tartan Day with events on Sunday and a special Tasting here on Monday evening.
Tomorrow night- Wednesday - we are very proud to host Laurie Claudon from the Clark-Claudon Winery in Napa Valley. A small tasting event with specially selected food pairings to accompany Laurie's handcrafted, boutique wines.

Having a couple of careers always moving towards wine country & wine, eventually taking on their own winery, and now gaining recognition for the delicious Cabernets they produce.

Ireland, England & USA all play tomorrow!
Matches start early tomorrow (Wednesday April 1st) and continue throughout the day. Trinity Hall will be offering those that couldn't make it to Italy an opportunity to catch the Ireland Team in action, along with England's first qualifier match of '09 aganist Ukraine. (Euro nations' qualifiers are Pay Per View via Setanta @$20 per person)
USA play Trinidad & Tobago and we are delighted to have the American Outlaws - US Team Supporters club - hosting their watching party with us! Come cheer on the team 6:30PN Come early for best seating.

Tartan Day is Monday April 6th
Join the Dallas Scottish Community For A Celebration or Two!
SUNDAY CEILIDH (Party)
The Scottish Society in Dallas have been celebrating Tartan Day ever since it was first proclaimed a national day by the Congress & President George Bush.
Although the official holiday is on Monday, the Society host a FREE event for families & friends to enjoy at Winfrey Point beside White Rock Lake on the Sunday before. Visit their website for details & directions. SCOTSINDALLAS.ORG
MONDAY MACALLAN TASTING
Continuing the fun of the holiday, we'll be hosting the MACALLAN for a whisky tasting and because of the day that is in it we'll be expecting a fair number of guests to be wearing their Kilts and Tartans! In fact, to support our friends at the Scottish Society we will donate $ 2.50 for every guest that attends the event, and we will double the donation to $5 for each guest wearing tartan, (outer clothes only - underwear will not be counted)
15 & 17 Year Old Fine Oak, 12 & 18 Year Old Sherry and a dram of Famous Grouse as we gather, served with light snacks throughout.
{Why the donation? Volunteers from the Society work the weekend with the Day out with Thomas the Engine in Grapevine each year to raise funds to allow the Sunday Ceilidh to be offered for free, we'd like to help out with their fundraising!} |

 Dallas Cup XXX Kicks Off Sunday!

The triple X is not a reflection of Adult Material it is the 30th Tournament of the Dallas Cup, the premiere youth soccer tournament in the country! This year the tournament kicks off with the Super Group's AC Milan playing Manchester City. The players in Super Group will be the upcoming superstars of tomorrow. If you enjoy club soccer and want to see the best of the best, make a beeline for Frisco and catch some of these matches!
