Happy New Lunar Year of The Ox! |
Greetings!
How about this then, who was the first person to wish you a Happy New Year of the Ox? We are hoping it is us, and that you will enjoy the International irony of receiving a Chinese New Year wish from the Irish Pub in Dallas Texas! Who says all we are is a place to enjoy great food, live music, euro sports like Soccer & Rugby and occasionally, the odd international insight!
The patriotic slant of this newsletter's images is a nod to the celebration of our past week's inauguration of our new President. We were fortunate to be a small part of the local celebration hosting the Dallas County Democratic Party mixer that evening, along with other groups of varying interests and objectives, all of whom were guests of your Irish Pub in Dallas,Texas!
We have lots to tell you about, because we are starting in to that time of the year, with one or two new events this year! So read on and stayed tuned to stay up to date with the fun events that will be part of the Pub between now and the end of March!

Chinese New Year Toast To Our Guests! |
THE YEAR OF THE OX 1/26/2009 - 2/13/2010 According to the Chinese Zodiac, the Year of 2009 is the Year of the Ox.
The Ox, or the Buffalo sign symbolizes prosperity through fortitude and hard work. Those born under the influence of the Ox or Buffalo are fortunate to be stable and persevering.
In this painting, the lovely pair of wealth girls happily filled up the cart with gold ingots and treasures. And, the lucky ox is ready to pull the cart to your home. The red banner with an auspicious Chinese character "Fu" means blessing, good fortune and happiness. Your luck for success is flourishing. May you enjoy great success and happiness
