PUB
WILL BE CLOSED
FRIDAY FOR
4th of JULY | |
|
Greetings!
Our big month comes to a close this Sunday with the Euro2008 Finals. We have had a great time with all the international Soccer Fans that have come by to cheer on their home countries. Today's match will determine who plays Germany on Sunday afternoon.
We won't be hosting the Sunday Session this week as there's a chance the match will get extended with overtime & penalties, and with the crowd expected it'll take a little bit to get the Pub back in shape for dinner & pub quiz service!
Tastings start again on Tuesday with a full month already posted on the web. I fixed an earlier error and moved our whiskey tasting back to the 1st Tuesday - next week. (Already! the second half of the year begins...)
TIMES - Our friends at the Traditional Irish Music Education Society, led by the energizer bunny of Irish Music, Ken Fleming, hosts the O'Flaherty Irish Music Youth Camp next week Monday & Tuesday! A further extension of the Trinity Hall Session Players and all that they do to promote the playing of Irish music!
Also, a scheduling note about the holiday next week, Trinity Hall is closing for the 4th of July. Yes we do know its a Friday, and that we're an Irish Pub, but the thing is our staff, and their families, celebrate the 4th doing the same things you'll be doing, watching the fireworks, catching the local parade, grilling on the patio and sharing time with loved ones and friends.
Read on for more details about these and other stories and then stop in and see us at the Pub! We're looking forward to serving you again, soon.
Cheers,
Marius - Chief Projection Screen builder & TV positioner for HUGE soccer matches at the Pub! |

GERMANY V (Russia or Spain) |
|
|
Semi-Final match today @ 1:30 PM will determine who plays Germany in the Finals!
The change in the Pub for these soccer matches is quite startling, we add a 2nd projector, put TV's up on stacked tables and limit the number of tables in front of any screen so its easier for the Soccer fans to move around without banging tables!
This Sunday's match is the end of a 4 year tournament, in addition to the two lucky nations represented in the finals, it is a celebration of Soccer for the rest of us, even the Irish that didn't qualify for the final 16. So, come along and help us cheer on the best of Europe's teams as they compete for this Trophy.
(You may want to bring a little sunscreen along, just in case you end up in our Patio seating, or better still come early and enjoy a little breakfast before the game!) |
