Greetings!
It looks like the wind has finally blown itself out, and just in time for the weekend if all goes well! We were quite worried about our patio tents surviving the week, and we couldn't take them down because in the process they could have blown away. We have them up for tomorrow's special events at the Pub, a Baby Shower in the morning, a wedding reception in the afternoon & the Rugby & Euro matches being shown in Chaucers next door!
IRISH ROGUES are with us TONIGHT instead of the usual 1st Saturday slot, they helped us out by switching out with the Trinity River Whalers who will be playing for the wedding in the afternoon and for the rest of us, tomorrow evening! Did I mention that we have a private wedding from 1PM - 5 PM tomorrow afternoon and we'll reopen at 5:30PM?
Euro 2008 is the international soccer tournament kicking off tomorrow and being played through the month of June, we'll have all the matches available, although we will be televising them in Chaucers tomorrow instead of the pub. Come cheer your ancestral home's teams whether its Switzerland, Czech Republic, Italy, Germany, France or one of the 16 teams in it. (The Irish, English, Scots & Welsh will be busy watching Rugby to avoid the embarassment of our countries having not made it to the finals....)
RUGBY - The Northern Hemisphere teams have headed south for the summer tests and kick of this evening at 11:30 PM. The Ireland V New Zealand All Blacks will be played at 2:30 AM, we will record it and replay the match at 9:15AM tomorrow. (Originally thought we would be here to see it live, but many of our guests have told us they intend to sleep in and catch the AM replay instead, so we're going home at 2 AM as usual tonight!)
