A Mid Summer Update! Greetings!
Although you may not have noticed, Summer is already in full swing and the longest day of the year was last week! We're delighted with the extra rain and cooler temperatures so far, its still looking like Ireland with green lawns and puddles all over the place!
We hope everyone is having as much fun as we are these days, visitors in from out of town, nieces & nephews graduating and team members in and out on quick vacations, its been a busy month. (In fact, I need to apologize if we've been a little less efficent than usual, we had a couple more vacationing staff than planned and a couple more guests than expected last week, sorry about any slowdowns caused!) But the good news is Teresa is back for the summer, Diane & Jason are back on their feet and Maureen & Addison are settling in nicely!
Events in this newsletter include:
* Soccer Scheduled - USA plays the Copa America
* Rugby Scheduled - Tri-Nations matches each Saturday
* 1759 Dallas Chapter gathering This Thursday Evening!
* Nobel Peace Prizewinner Betty Williams will be in to see us next month!
* Scottish Night at the Pub July 3rd! Scotch Whisky Tasting (limited Seating) & Strathspey Fiddlers in house the same night!
So, read on and plan the activities for the first week or two of July! Or, if you're too busy now close it and come back and read it later on, if you delete this message you can always read it online on our website!
Thanks for checking in and we'll look forward to serving you soon at Trinity Hall Irish Pub! |

New Menu Items
Chef Oscar's new additions to the menu have been very well received and maybe starting eclipse some of the winter & fall favorites!
Next time you are in, linger awhile over the menu and read all about our Caribbean Pork Salad - sliced Pork Tendloin served warm over mixed greens with a Jerk relish dressing, or the light & delicious Seafood crepes with scallops, crabmeat & shrimp in bechamel sauce... mmm, mmm, good! |
SOCCER
USA Still Going Strong!
The USA finished on top of last week's Copa Oro and now is in full prep mode tfor this week's visit to Venezuela to compete in the Copa America!
We're expecting Hugo C. to try and make it tough on Sam's Army, but after the great performance last two weeks we're hoping for a repeat and a big win in Venezuela.
RUGBY
Tri Nations tournament is on for the next couple of weeks, check the schedule each week to see when we'll be showing the TIVO replays!

SUNDAY NIGHT PUB QUIZ TRIVIA!
Okay, now we have been hosting the Brainstormer Pub Quiz Trivia night at the Pub every Sunday for over 4 years!
The question is how long will it be before you bring your firends & family to play with us!
Key Points To Remember About Pub Quiz.....
1. No-One Knows Your Real Names - We use Team Names when calling out the scores so the rest of the Pub won't be razzing you!
2. Its Free to play, of course we always encourage our competitors to keep yup their strength with a drop of beer or a snack of delicious Crostini!
3. The questions are equally difficult for the other teams too so your team has just as much chance at winning... kind of!
THIS SUNDAY ONLY - A SPECIAL PRIZE OF $100 CASH!
WILL BE GIVEN TO THE TEAM WHO ARRIVES IN COSTUME / UNIFORM (Minimum 4 Teammates with coordinated outfits) Guest Choice Award will be decided by Guest Acclaim based on the connection between the outfits & team name!
{Keep In Mind... This is a family friendly event, if you could get arrested on the street for wearing the outfit it probably is not appropriate for the Pub on Sunday evening!}

Betty Williams
"The Nobel Peace Prize is not awarded for what one has done, but hopefully what one will do".
The words of Betty Williams who in 1976 along with Mairead Maguire was awarded the Prize for her work to bring peace in her native Northern Ireland.
In the thirty years since the award, Mrs. Williams has devoted her life to creating a new way forward, a movement to begin a reversal of thinking on how we deal with the injustices, cruelty and horror perpetrated on the world's children. Betty is coming to Dallas with the 3rd Women's Peace Conference in July.
