Greetings!

The season is upon us and the opening salvo is this Friday night! The Great Guinness Toast will be hosted at Pubs and Bars all over town and of course we think we'll have the best here at Trinity Hall. Join us from 8 PM on as our hosts from 1759 Dallas practice their toastmaking skills! Check out all the events this weekend and in the month ahead, you know we're almost inside the 30 day countdown to St Patrick's Day!

Guinness
The Great Guinness Toast is another well organized excuse to raise a pint and join a multitude of others in celebrating life and the pursuit of a perfect Pint! The added benefit this year will be that the tech savy amongst us will be able to text Guinness that they are in attendance and in return will receive one of two quite unique ring tones for their phones!

1759 Dallas - our one year old local chapter of Guinness devotees ( there are 250+ members in the group!) will be our honorary hosts and have nominated 3 Toastmasters to lead the Toast. Each will be presented to the Pub Audience and by popular acclaim we will select the Official Toastmaster 2007!

Baldy Cue Ball
The St Baldricks Search For The Cure for Childhood Cancers is returning March 24th to Trinity Hall and two of our team mates have volunteered their hair in return for your donations to this great cause. Scott Mauro is a second time shavee and is joined this year by manager Matt Gutierrez - (That's the guy with the Grizzly Adams beard and shock of black hair)

The St Baldrick's Foundation funnels all donations to organizations that are researching the causes and cures for Child Hood Cancers. Visit the organization's website for last year's report & to see how you can help this year! Congratulations to Andy Justice and the Dallas Team, so far 33+ Shavees have volunteered and their friends, colleagues & employers have pledged over $55,000 so far!

We're looking forward to next weekend when it seems that we will have a non-stop festival of Irish activities around us. More later about the biggest day in Irish Rugby which will happen on Saturday 24th, on Sunday the 25th we will be attending the matinee show of James Galway - a world renowned master flautist - as he plays with the DSO at the Meyerson.

Our afternoon of culture will begin with a plated brunch at Trinity Hall, mimosas will be flowing and the stage will be set for our quick DART ride down to the Meyerson for the 2:30 PM matinee concert. By committing early, Trinity Hall was able to secure the Orchestra Floor seats for our guests, normally offered by the DSO at $65 each, for $45 We have combined the DSO ticket with Brunch, complimentary Mimosas, tax & tip for the same price AND we're making a donation to TIMES for $5 per ticket sold! We'd be delighted to have you and your family enjoy the day with us and if you would like buy a ticket please call the Pub, at your convenience.

The Irish team got off to a great start in hte first week of the 6 Nations tournament, only to be massively disappointed by a last minute lack of focus in this past wekeend's match aganist the French team. So the Grand Slam is not possible, but there's a good chance to bring home the Triple Crown!

The national team will take on England at the hallowed ground of Croke Park in Dublin this Saturday on a rugby triple header day! The only thing better than being at Trinity Hall would be being in the heart of Dublin for this match. The bonus for our Rugby fans & friends is that there are 3 matches all on the same day so one cover charge gets you in for all! Please visit our website for details on Setanta and the closed circuit fee and the sschedule for the day on Saturday Feb 24th!
The annual family day for the members and friends of the Irish American Society in Dallas is this Sunday! The communities top personalities gather to show off their prowess in Singing, Dancing and doing skits of all kinds. This is no small time production either, now in its 27th eyar! It is hosted at the Sherlock's in Addison there is a full stage theater set asisde for the group and the drink specials are happy hour prices all day long! (We have heard from more than one of our regulars that the $2.00 red wine is reallllly good!) There is a $15 at the door fee but that includes the cost of the entertainment & a complimentary appetizer buffet at intermission. For more information or to see about a late entry for your talent party piece please call Sue Faulkner at 972-239-0561

Looking for a fun evening of interaction and entertainment? Look no further we offer a free to play no strings attached game of POker at the Pub each Monday evening. This game has been going on for a couple of years and we have a wide range of players that sit in from accomplished and almost ready for WSOP, to the new and timid who want to build up their table presence! A comfortable pace is maintained, and first time players generally enjoy the confidence building that occurs as you realize you actually do know how to play & bet afterall! If you're playing for free online and are missing the human interaction we are the place for you! (If on the other hand you have hundreds of dollars riding on each hand, we'd maybe be a little too laid back for the adrenaline surfers!) Stop in and visit with us this Monday. tables fill fast so join us at 7 PM for the 7:30 Pm start time to be sure of a seat!

Now it may seem that there is a lot in this email, the truth is there are 2 or 3 more pages that we've had to edit out! For all the latest news, special events coming up (both at Trinity Hall and other venues too) and our live music, sports & tasting schedules, please stop by our website and follow the links on the left column! Thank you for reading our email again, we hope you find something of interest each time you open one! If we missed anything or you have a suggestion please don't hesitate to write it on the back of a $20 bill and drop it off at the Pub. I will respond to larger denomination bills first!

Go raibh maith agaibh and we're looking forward to serving you soon at Trinity Hall Irish Pub!
