Oral Health Care Access Stories Needed
Help us Show the Need

November 2006

Smile Stories from real people are effective in showing the need for access to oral health care.

To help COHI make the case for increased
access, and to help us participate in the healthcare4every1 campaign (http://www.healthcare4every1.org), we need your assistance in identifying people whose stories show the need for access to quality oral health care.

Pediatric There are examples of stories on the the healthcare4every1 campaign website (http://www.healthcare4every1.org), and a simple form to fill out when you click on "Tell Your Story".

If you, or they, need help, or have questions, please reply to this email or call us at 860-246-2644.

We are at a critical time in the effort to get universal health care in our state. It is important to make sure that oral health care is included in this discussion about general health.

Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

About Connecticut Oral Health Initiative

The Connecticut Oral Health Initiative, or COHI for short, is a state-wide collaborative of dental professionals, business and community leaders. Our Mission is Oral Health Care for All. We work to persuade, educate and inform decision makers and the general public about the important issues involving oral health. We started in 1992 as a project of the Connecticut State Dental Association and incorporated as a separate 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation in 2003. We are supported by your tax-deductible contribution and grants from progressive foundations and businesses.
