Greetings!

Owners of modern Conway Stewart writing instruments are in excellent company, as Conway Stewart pens have always been the preferred choice of the most discerning and famous people from around the world and this tradition continues to this day.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and The Duke of Edinburgh were presented with two Conway Stewart pens from "the Gold Collection" to commemorate their Golden Wedding Anniversary. Prime Minister Blair presented Russian President Putin a Conway Stewart Churchill Burgundy fountain pen on a state visit to Russia and French President Jacques Chirac was given a Brown Marble Churchill to celebrate his 70th birthday.

Conway Stewart was the official pen chosen by the British Government for the G8 Summit at which Prime Minister Blair presented a Conway Stewart No 58 set to each of the G8 world leaders. We are suppliers to No 10 Downing Street, the official residence of the British Prime Minister as well as the British Royal Palaces.

President Bush and President Clinton both own a Conway Stewart writing instrument. Conway Stewart creates exclusive pens for many prestigious corporate and government accounts, including the Royal Air Force, the Red Arrows, Rolls Royce as well as numerous other high profile corporate and luxury retail accounts.

This newsletter highlights a few of our corporate and exclusive limited editions in addition to a recent featured article in the global print magazine, Pen World July 2008 issue, published by Pen World International.

The Universe of Conway Stewart Exclusive Limited Edition Pens

In the competitive modern market place, it's essential that high-end pen manufacturers find ways to distinguish themselves from their competition.  A maker that develops a speciality or a niche of its own -- whether in technology, performance or aesthetics -- naturally gains an advantage.

Perhaps more than other pen makers, UK-based Conway Stewart has focused on creating exclusive limited editions outside of its regular production line. Not just limited production masterpieces focus on historical figures or commemorating important events -- although many Conway Stewart products fit this description -- but also exclusive limited editions devoted to and created in conjunction with brands, business and institutions of various kinds.

Exclusive editions may no be foremost in people's minds when they think of the English pen maker -- which is well known for its flagship Churchill collection and other regular production lines, including the new Wellington -- but Conway Stewart has in fact produced lots of them. Because Conway Stewart manufacturers pens on site in its own workshops, there is a tremendous opportunity to experiment with designs options, and there are virtually no limits to what can be done......

Conway Stewart Knightsbridge Exclusive Edition
Knightsbridge, exclusively from J. Rake
Featured in Pen World, July 2008

The Knightsbridge is based upon Conway Stewart's famous Sterling Silver Duro, with a cap and barrel turned from solid rods of sterling silver. These pieces are then painstakingly engraved with an intricate guilloche pattern before being finished in a deep charcoal gray enamel. The result is a rich, sophisticated writing instrument that exudes both style and refinement in equal measure.

The Lawyer's Pen

Carbolic Smoke Ball Co

Carbolic Smoke Ball Co., a curiously-named* supplier of gifts to the legal profession based in England, has commissioned a pen for lawyers  from Conway Stewart. Ex-barrister Philip Jenks, who runs the company says:

"I had been selling reconditioned Parker 51s on my site for many years, and kept on getting asked if I had a pen specifically for lawyers.  As a profession, they seem to love writing and everything that goes with it. Searching on the web, I came across a beautiful pen which Conway Stewart made a few years ago for doctors. I got in touch with the company, and together we came up with a design for lawyers which exceeded my best expectations."
