Plymouth Pilgrims
Limited Edition
The Conway Stewart Pilgrim Limited
Edition has been created using the art of airbrush and hand painting
to evoke scenes from the history of the First Pilgrim settlers.
With depictions of the coastlines of
both Plymouth, where the settlers first set sail, and Massachusetts
Bay where they eventually settled framing an ocean scene of the
Mayflower at sail on the cap, the Pilgrim Pen is a beautiful work
of art. Additional scenes of the Massachusetts Bay Colony are painted
on the barrel, showing scenes from the everyday life of the first

model are accented with end caps of solid Ivory Casein, and the
trim is a rich gold colour, putting the final touch to this miniature
masterpiece.

Karyoubinga
Limited Edition
Karyoubinga is a celestial being who plays music,
dances, sings and flies through the air. She appears
in many forms, often with a bird's body and an
angelic head. She is depicted in Buddhist paintings,

The Conway Stewart Karyoubinga brings a wonderful
traditional interpretation of an important figure
form Buddhism into our modern world. Set against a
backdrop of shimmering gold powder on the cap, the
figure of Karyoubinga evokes feelings of lightness
and harmony, perfectly in keeping with the theme.
This sense of calm and soothing peace is carried
through the barrel of the pen, birds and a floral
motif provide a complimentary backdrop to the

Soka Monyo

The beauty of Maki-e depends on the
craftsman's skills: artistic design, knowledge of traditional
techniques, and the ability to tell a story through the application
of art.
Artist Kogaku-san drew his inspiration for our design, 'Soka Monyo, Floral Design' from flowers throughout the season: sakura, wisteria and Japanese larch. They are displayed within geometric shapes, bordered in thick gold, using the striking contrast of black for the background.
