BEYOND CHOCOLATE: HOW TO STOP YO-YO DIETING AND LOSE WEIGHT FOR GOOD

***** Time to taste your life

"It's not a diet, it's a concept, but if you allow yourself to break free from the old rules and ditch your plans (along with your scales) and train yourself to think differently, you might lose the weight for good. On a personal level, this book has been one of the most directly meaningful books that I have read in a long time, and has given me the inspiration I need to get off the self-defeating path I was on. Its contents are surprisingly accessible, and there are useful resources included. So go on, have a taste."

*****
Revolutionary

" The approach to food, eating and body perception is completely unlike anything I've come across before. It has completely shifted the way I think about food, eating and weight generally. It presents an approach that is actually sustainable over a lifetime rather than a short term quick fix - AND it is so much less stressful and guilt ridden. I'm so pleased I've come across this book."

***** Couldn't put it down

"I've been putting their suggestions into practise and I'm losing weight and having fun! Never thought the two could go together. Buy it, you won't regret it."

2010 BEYOND CHOCOLATE EVENT OF THE YEAR

overeating logo
You asked and we listened!  2010 is 'Stop overeating' year at Beyond Chocolate - time to end the struggle and feel in control around food.

In September this year we ran our Beyond Chocolate Newsletter Reader Survey so that we could grow and continue to provide you with useful strategies and solutions to transform your relationship with food and your body.

An overwhelming 80% of you told us that finding ways to manage overeating, comfort eating and bingeing was more important to you than weight loss and that this is what you want more of.

So, we are going to focus 2010 on just that, with two exciting new products and a special project.  We are delighted to announce our new STOP OVEREATING WEEKEND WORKSHOP coming up in June 2010 (see below for more information) and the release of our new DIY STOP OVEREATING WORKBOOK early in the new year.  The workshop will be an opportunity for Beyond Chocolaters to come together and take part in this powerful and life changing event.

We're also keen to get more women telling it as it is on our Facebook Beyond Chocolate Wall of Shame so if you haven't taken a look at it yet, click here to see what it's all about and add your story to those of the brave women who have already posted.

More about the weekend...

What will I get out of it?
Join Sophie and Audrey for a powerful, life changing weekend.  We will guide you to knowing yourself better, to truly become the expert so that, with the help of our tools and exercises and support, you will know just what to do to stop overeating and feel in control.  To eat just the way you want to.  By the end of the weekend, you will know what you need to do to be able to have the relationship with food that you've always dreamed of.  And it won't be hard work or difficult, it won't demand willpower or stern pep talks, it will be straight forward, do-able and liberating.

What will the weekend be like?
Throughout the weekend, Sophie and Audrey will be supporting you to explore your overeating patterns from every conceivable angle with the usual "hands-on" Beyond Chocolate approach - which means you experience everything first hand through individual, paired and small group activities rather than spending the weekend being talked at.

What topics are covered?
Before we start looking at how to stop overeating, we'll be looking at what it is.  Overeating is an all-encompassing term which describes a myriad of different experiences.  We'll be asking you to think about what the term 'overeating' means to you and WHY you overeat.  We all know that overeating is not usually about the food.  It's about emotions and habits, situations and beliefs and much, much more.  We don't overeat because we're greedy or lazy or weak or useless, we overeat because it helps us, because it's what we know, because it is the way we deal with lots of things (or don't deal with lots of things), we overeat because it works!  Once we really know why we do it, not just why we think we do it, or why we tell ourselves we do it, then we are one step closer to knowing how to stop!

We'll then be guiding you to discover HOW you overeat.  We all have our own very particular ways of overeating, and recognising and becoming familiar with exactly how we overeat provides crucial information which we can use to stop doing it.

Then we'll be showing you how identifying WHAT you overeat, and discovering how to have a guilt-free relationship with all foods will transform the way you eat completely.

We'll be giving you time and providing opportunities for you to play (yes play, really) with the idea of not overeating.  To imagine what it would be like, and then to deal with all the resistance, rebellion, fears and justifications that come up whenever we contemplate changing behaviours of a life-time.

We'll encourage you to look at all the reasons why shouldn't stop overeating and how to manage when it feels like you just can't and you're fighting a losing battle.

At every step of the weekend, we'll be ensuring that you are making choices that work for you.  We won't be pushing or hounding you into committing to make changes.  We know that real, lasting change only comes when you decide you are ready for it.

Finally, we will be giving you loads of tools and strategies to take ACTION once you leave the workshop and go back to 'real life'.  We know that after awareness, action is the only way to actually change behaviour.

At the end of the weekend, you will have:
  • an understanding of the function that overeating plays in your life and how to start making changes
  • an array of strategies and tools to put into action to manage overeating
  • answers to your questions about overeating:  how to make sure Beyond Chocolate fits into your life and not the other way round
  • ideas on how to support yourself through making those changes
  • access to a community of women who are also taking control of their overeating, who speak the same language and where it's OK to talk about anything

Who is it for?
Whether you have been experimenting with the Beyond Chocolate principles for a while or have just come across us, this workshop is for anyone who wants to stop overeating, to end the struggle, and feel in control around food.  Ideally, you will have attended a 1-day or 6-week course with Sophie & Audrey or a trained Chocolate Fairy near you, or you will have completed the online Ecourse or the DIY workbook.  This is not essential, but having an experience of working with all the Beyond Chocolate principles will mean you get more out of the weekend as we will only be referring to them when relevant.

Our Chocolate Fairies are offering a special £25 discount to anyone who books to attend a course before attending the weekend.  Click here to see courses coming up near you, and to get in touch directly with your local Chocolate Fairy.
