Cradles to Crayons (C2C) was founded in 2002, with the mission of providing children with the basic essentials they need to feel safe, warm, ready to learn and valued.  By partnering with social-service organizations in the Boston area, C2C connects communities that have surplus resources-new or gently used items in good condition-with communities that desperately need access to those resources.

Cradles to Crayons is currently seeking a passionate and driven Director of Program Operations to manage the planning, delivery and quality of all programs and services for this entrepreneurial, growth-oriented organization. Finding a Guide: The Value of Having a Mentor

In any field, having a professional mentor can help individuals develop and advance their careers. Mentors are especially important in the nonprofit sector, where structured career development opportunities are not always readily available.

A strong mentoring relationship is built on collaboration and the commitment to the professional development of one or both of its participants. While in the typical mentoring relationship, one participant has more experience, skill, knowledge than the other, many strong mentoring relationships provide an opportunity for both parties to learn from each other through the development of a caring and respectful partnership.
