a network of potential donors, including wealthy individuals, foundations, and
other funders.

JOB SPOTLIGHT: Director of School Operations
|

New Schools for New Orleans (NSNO) provides public schools, with an emphasis on charter schools, the support they
need to succeed. The Director of School Operations will be
responsible for making these schools the most efficiently run schools in the
nation. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of School
Operations will ensure that charter schools are equipped with the proper
internal controls, efficient daily routines and excellent reporting procedures
that will make them effective and successful schools.Building relationships with school, district
and state leaders, the Director of School Operations will play a critical role
in overhauling the way charter schools interact with and are served by
education bureaucracies.

Special Report: The Voice of Nonprofit Talent
A few months ago, we asked the over 15,000 members of the Commongood Careers community to participate in a survey that explored jobseekers' attitudes, motivations and challenges in pursuing careers in the social sector. We are thrilled to now share the results and analysis of this survey in a special report entitled The Voice of Nonprofit Talent in 2008.
This report is intended to provide nonprofit employers with a deeper understanding of what employees prefer and expect from them. Our hope is that this information can help organizations be more effective at recruiting, hiring, developing and retaining talented individuals.
