Greetings!  

We're in the last stretch of summer here on the North Coast. Our gardens are in full production with tomatoes, peppers, zucchini and more.  Just remember to eat a balanced diet. All those vegetable can be balanced with some fresh, hand-crafted, tantalizing chocolates!
 
There is still plenty of time for some summer fun before the kids head back to school. Check out our classes below for both children and adults.
 
If you are looking for a delicious dessert to take to this month's picnics, look no further than this month's recipe - Italian Tiramisu. It features the newest product from Caffe d'Amore - Bellagio Freeze Dried Gourmet Espresso made from 100% Arabica Coffee Beans.  We at Tre Sorelle have added this new product to join the other delicious drink mixes from Caffe d'Amore.

School Mascot Chocolates

Make Back-to-School more fun!  Children may make suckers in the shape of their school mascot and package them in team colors. Class runs from 1:00 - 2:30 on Saturday August 14th.  Cost is $12 per child.  RSVP by August 11th to Tre Sorelle Cioccolato 419-502-2462. 

This class is for children and teens ages 8 to 15. (Minimum class size:5, maximum class size: 12)
 
Available mascots include Streaks, Panthers, Pirates, Tigers, Bears, Chargers, Sailors, Redmen, Lakers, Falcons, Eagles, Flyers, Truckers, Wildcats, and more!
Chocolate Boy with the Boot

Make a Chocolate "Boy with the Boot".  Participants will make two candies in class and learn the techniques of making photographic chocolates.  Then, they may take home their mold to make more in the future.  Class runs from 6:00 - 7:00 on Wednesday August 18th.  Cost is $12 per adult.  RSVP by August 14th to Tre Sorelle Cioccolato 419-502-2462. (Minimum class size: 5, maximum class size: 12)

Recipe of the Month
Italian Tiramisu 
 
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 16 oz mascarpone cheese
  • cups prepared Bellagio Espresso (made from Bellagio Epicurean Freeze Dried Gourmet Espresso available at Tre Sorelle)
  • 2 tsp. dark rum
  • 24 ladyfingers
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa
 
In a large bowl, using an electric mixer with whisk attachment, beat egg yolks and sugar until thick and pale.  Add mascarpone cheese and beat until smooth.  Add 1 tablespoon of prepared Bellagio Espresso and mix until thoroughly combined.
 
In a small shallow dish, add remaining prepared Bellagio Espresso and rum.  Quickly dip each ladyfinger into espresso mixture for only 5 seconds, and arrange on the bottom of a 13x 9 inch baking dish, breaking them in half if necessary in order to fit the bottom.
 
Spread evenly ½ of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.  Arrange another layer of soaked ladyfingers and top with remaining mascarpone mixture.
 
Cover tiramisu with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, up to 8 hours.
 
Before serving, sift unsweetened cocoa over the top.
