Happy New Year! All of us at Tre Sorelle hope that your holidays were safe, happy and fun.
This month we are pleased to bring back our Fancy Nancy Soiree that was so much fun last fall. We also have a class for children where they will make and decorate a chocolate Valentine "puzzle".
Our recipe for January is our all-time favorite family cookie recipe. Chocolate Snowballs don't require any snow to make but they make it more fun inside when the snow is flying outside.

Chocolate Valentine Puzzle
What a fun way to spend a winter afternoon! On Saturday January 23rd from 1:00 - 2:30, kids may make and decorate a chocolate puzzle. When put together, the pieces create a chocolate heart. This class is for children and teens ages 8 to 15. Cost is $15 per child. RSVP by Wednesday January 20th. (Maximum class size: 12) |

Fancy Nancy Soiree
The children had so much fun with this last fall that we are bringing back our Fancy Nancy Soiree! On Saturday January 30th from 1:00pm - 2:30 pm children ages 6 - 10 may attend this fabulous party! Partygoers will be served pink hot cocoa, chocolate, and cupcakes. There will be crafts and readings of several Fancy Nancy stories. Plus a bonus gift to take home! Cost is $15 per child. RSVP by Wednesday January 27th. (Maximum attendance: 16) |

Recipe of the Month
Chocolate Snowballs
Our mom, Theresa Beck, traditionally made these at Christmas. But they are so quick and easy that we enjoy these any time of year. Try them with a rich cup of hot chocolate. Yum!
1 cup butter
2/3 cup sugar
2 teas vanilla
2 cups flour
½ teas salt
½ cup cocoa less 1 Tbls
2 cups finely chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 350. Cream butter and sugar, add vanilla. Sift flour, salt and cocoa and add to creamed mixture. Add nuts, and mix well. Form into 1" balls. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets for 15 minutes. When cool, roll in confectioner's sugar.
Makes 3 - 3.5 dozen |

Birthday Parties at Tre Sorelle
Looking for a fun, different, and easy idea for your child's next birthday? Consider Tre Sorelle! Parties can be held for ages 7 - 14 and we can accomodate up to 12 children (including the birthday boy/girl). While here, they may make and decorate their chocolate as well as enjoy birthday goodies.
Standard party packages are $12 per child and include:
- Chocolate class - choose from candy bars (each child makes 2), chocolate suckers (each child makes 2). Children take home what they make.
Deluxe party packages are $15 per child and include:
- Chocolate class - choose from candy bars (each child makes 2), chocolate suckers (each child makes 2). Children take home what they make.
- Fresh-baked cupcakes, hot cocoa
- All supplies including plates, napkins, and cups
No need to clean up before or after the party ~ we do all the work! Just make sure to bring your camera to capture all the fun! |
