Chocolate Recipe of the Month White Chocolate Freeze with Lime and Mint
From: Chocolate Bliss by Menus and Music
1 cup milk 3 oz white chocolate grated or finely chopped Grated zest of 1 lime 5 mint leaves, minced, plus more for garnish 12 - 14 ice cubes Lime slices for garnish
In a saucepan, bring the milk to a simmer over medium heat. Remove from heat, add the white chocolate, and stir until melted. Stir in the lime zest and minced mint. Set aside to steep for 5 to 7 minutes.
Strain through a fine-meshed sieve into a bowl and let cool. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to chill.
In a blender, add the white chocolate mixture and ice cubes and blend to the consistency of a smoothie. Pour the freeze into 2 dessert bowls or martini glasses. Garnish with mint leaves and lime slices and serve at once. Makes 2 servings |
