HOLIDAY CATALOG REPORTS
 
Holiday Catalog 09
If you used the GLiBA holiday catalog and intend to apply for the rebate on distribution costs, we need your forms and supporting materials by January 15. We sent you copies of the forms along with the catalog posters and shelftalkers. They're also available on the GLiBA website.
 
Please also send us your evaluation of the catalog. Stores that submit evaluations by January 15 will be placed in a raffle for a free all-event ticket for next year's trade show.

Joseph-Beth's Neil Van Uum
 
The Cincinnati Enquirer interviewed Joseph-Beth owner Neil Van Uum in connection with the company's opening of Joseph-Beth Wellness in the Cleveland Clinic. The 5,300 square foot store will stock not just books but gifts and other products and services related to a healthy life-style. Van Uum says this is a new niche for his company. Read More.
 
Memorial Service for Mark Gates
 
A memorial service for FSG/Holt sales rep Mark Gates, 57, who died of lung cancer on December 11 (Shelf Awareness, December 13, 2009), has been scheduled for Saturday, January 16. The service will be held 12-1 p.m. at the First Unitarian Society, 900 University Bay Drive, in Madison, Wis. A farewell party for Gates will be held at another venue in Madison from 2-5 p.m. that afternoon. Those intending to attend the party should e-mail Sandra Bartels a non-binding RSVP at sandra.bartels@gmail.com.
