The Kenyon College Bookstore seeks applications for a General Manager, the leader of the Bookstore Management Team.  This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of the bookstore, setting priorities and goals, and directing/motivating employees. This is a full time position that includes a generous benefits package. Qualified candidates will hold a bachelors degree and have a minimum of five years of experience in a retail setting in a lead management role, preferably in a trade bookstore or college bookstore. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess the ability to lead a team, create an enjoyable work environment, understand retail store financial documents, and maintain professional relationships with faculty, staff, students and members of the surrounding community. We'll continue to accept the Betz Scholarship Applications until September 17 as well. The scholarship is open to booksellers who have not attended the show before. It provides reimbursement of up to $250 in expenses. Booksellers may apply on their own, or they may be nominated by someone else. Go to the GLiBA website for nomination forms.
