| Hollywood Hosts 2010 |
 |
|
"Let's put on a show!" It's a popular line
shouted with all the exuberance and
excitement one hears only in a classic movie
musical. But that's just what Gentry,
the Cypress Hotel in Cupertino and
Peninsula Youth
Theatre will do on Jan. 31 in the
beautiful Cypress Hotel ballroom. Searching
for a new twist on an old Hollywood premiere
theme, they created "Hollywood Hosts," a red
carpet event featuring gourmet delicacies by
local restaurants and live entertainment by
the Peninsula Youth Theatre Performers. This
group of talented youth, under the
professional direction of Christine
Nielsen, Dexter Fidler and Katie
O'Bryon, will delight the audience with
an energetic cabaret of popular show tunes.
The event is being staged around four
delightful tablescapes inspired by favorite
movie legends. One could easily envision
Willy Wonka hosting a candy-filled fest
for Charlie and his family (by Kathy Goodman,
Well Rehearsed www.wellrehearsed.com); Anne
Hathaway and Kate Hudson fighting over a
treasure from Tiffany & Co. (www.tiffany.com)
in Bride Wars; or Scarlett using her
Southern hospitality to finally win over
Rhett's heart in Gone With the Wind
(by Katherine Phelps, Vkoos Design
www.vkoosdesign.com). It's a Bollywood
rags-to-riches story depicted in the tablescape
Slum Dog Millionaire (by Brick Monkey
www.brickmonkeyonline.com). The designers
and stylists put their imaginations and
creativity on overdrive to fashion whimsical
and over-the-top vignettes.
In support of Peninsula Youth Theatre, the
tablescapes will be raffled and special gifts
will be up for bid in the Silent Screen
Auction. The PYT performers will sing and
dance to tunes from their upcoming show
season and motivated guests can be generous
bidders for special sponsorships of the PYT
2010 season, which includes Willy Wonka,
Seussical, Narnia and Footloose.
Through generous donors and participants, the
event is sure to be another Hollywood success
story.
100% of the proceeds will benefit Peninsula
Youth Theatre. Everyone involved is donating
everything for this wonderful charity.

| PYT Holiday Fundraising Campaign Begins |
 |
|
Thanks to your loyal support, Peninsula
Youth Theatre is able to continue providing
outstanding theatrical learning experiences
and first-class children's musical
productions to the community.
Revenue from ticket sales and tuition falls
substantially short of what is needed to
support our operating budget. Through the
generosity of people like you, we are able to
bridge this gap. Your donation helps to keep
our doors open, lights on, directors
directing, production quality high, tickets
and tuition affordable, and helps to provide
financial aid to low-income and at-risk kids
so that they can also experience the benefits
of participating in children's theater.
Your fully tax-deductible gift would help us
reach our goal of $10,000 by Dec. 31, 2009.
Just as it takes a team of actors, parents,
volunteers and staff to bring Annie to
life, it's through collective giving that
together we can continue to "Build Character
on Stage."

| Supporter Salute: Target |
 |
|
PYT would like to thank Target for a
recent grant of $3,000 in order to sponsor
"Target Family Day" for the Nov. 15
performance of Annie. Target
generously subsidized the ticket price to
the community by $6 per ticket for the one
performance.
Target funds arts programs that bring the
arts to schools and makes it affordable for
youth and families to participate in cultural
experiences.
Target is committed to making our communities
better places to live. That's why it gives
5% of its income to support education, the
arts, social services and volunteerism. PYT
would like to salute Target for its
generosity to children's theater and the
community!
