  • Fantastic Mr. Fox

    Boggis and Bunce and Bean
One fat, one short, one lean.
    These horrible crooks
    So different in looks
    Were nonetheless equally mean.

When nasty farmers Boggis, Bunce and Bean decide they've had enough of Mr. Fox stealing their chickens, ducks, turkeys and cider, they come up with a plan to catch the rascal once and for all! But the three are no match for Fantastic Mr. Fox.

PYT's Stories on Stage production of the book by Roald Dahl, directed by artistic director Dexter Fidler, performs at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts Nov. 14 and 15.

Tony and Techie Awards 2008 - correction

Last month's E-whisper stated that Christine Nielsen won "best music director" at PYT's Tony and Techie Awards ceremony. While Chris did win the award, it was erroneously listed that the award was for her work on Peter Pan. Katie Coleman was the music director for Peter Pan. Our apologies to Katie, and thanks to those who pointed out this error.

    Winter Drama Camp/Spring Session

PYT has just the way to shake the vacation blues. Spend your break acting, creating skits and playing theater games, as well as making props and costumes. Culminating in a demonstration for parents and friends, this camp is sure to spice up your break!

    Winter Drama Camp is for ages 8 - 14 and runs Dec. 22 - Jan. 2 (no camp Dec. 24 - 26).

Look for our Spring Class Brochure, which will be posted for online enrollment starting Dec. 1.

    The Sound of Music

Peninsula Youth Theatre presents The Sound of Music, the beloved Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, November 15 - 23 at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts.

A free-spirited aspiring nun restores harmony to the Von Trapp family before the Nazi Anschluss forces them to flee their beloved homeland. Based on a true story, Rodgers and Hammerstein's final collaboration is a "favorite thing" of audiences worldwide. Peninsula Youth Theatre's production is directed by Elise Marinkovich, with music direction by Christine Nielsen and choreography by Jeremy Latham Davies.

    Show times are 2 and 7:30 p.m. Nov. 15 and 22; 1 and 6:30 p.m. Nov. 16; 7:30 p.m. Nov. 21; and 1 p.m. Nov. 23.
