  • Take a Walk on the Red Carpet!

For the third consecutive year, Gentry Magazine (www.gentrymagazine.com) and the Stanford Park Hotel (www.stanfordparkhotel.com) are presenting Hollywood Hosts, a special event that benefits Peninsula Youth Theatre. For those who've attend in years past, you know firsthand how unique and fun an event this is: It is held in the charming European courtyard of the Stanford Park Hotel. This is the only Five Star Diamond-Rated hotel in the Silicon Valley and San Francisco Peninsula. There isn't a more beautiful background for this memorable event.

The theme is old Hollywood and this year six design teams will be creating fabulous tablescapes based upon one of their favorite movies. These tablescapes aren't just eye-candy for the evening because guests have a chance to win everything these creative designers put on display. Tiffany & Co is setting a table Elle Woods would be proud to host from Legally Blonde. Vicki Thorne, known for her whimsical over-the-top fantasy tables, is creating a Truly Scrumptious & Friends scene from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The group from Neiman Marcus at Stanford is celebrating 100 years of fashion and style so they'll be doing - what else but The Devil Wears Prada. Spectrum Fine Homes specializes in Green Design so they have naturally chosen An Inconvenient Truth where they'll feature stylish earth-friendly products. You'll be charmed by the table featuring Audrey Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart from Sabrina by designers Tracy Hass and Stephen DaSilva from The Dressed Room. The Wedding Planner tablescape will be classic and festive by Emily Joubert Home + Garden.

One of the evening's highlights is the local chefs from restaurants all over the Peninsula who come to share their gourmet specialties with us. This year, we're fortunate to have chefs from The Duck Club, Soleil, The Poolside Grill, Park Place, The Village Pub, and CuisineStyle. Dessert will be presented by Esther's German Bakery.

PYT has also been honored by being selected as beneficiary of the premiere Gentry event of the year: The Gentry Gala. In 2008, Gentry will be celebrating their 15th anniversary so their annual gala will be even bigger and better than ever!

The theme is "Spotlight on the Arts" and will be benefiting some of the Peninsula's treasures: Peninsula Youth Theatre, Ragazzi Boys Chorus and West Bay Opera. Each is a respected and highly- acclaimed arts organization dedicated to quality productions and enriching their participants' lives. Together, they promise to deliver one blockbuster evening.

Purchase a Hollywood Hosts ticket for $40 and a Gentry Gala 2008 ticket for $100 (or VIP ticket for $150) and you are invited to an exclusive Gentry party on April 17 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the amazing Hotel Cypress in Cupertino - a Mediterranean villa designed to inspire wellness and romance.

Tickets are currently available for one or both events. So grab your chance to walk on the red carpet in style with Gentry as you support PYT!

Family Show Sponsorships So Hot at Hollywood Hosts

If you're child is a PYT actor and you plan on participating in any of the 2007/2008 shows - then you'll want to get in on the live auction at Hollywood Hosts. Every year, we auction off family sponsorships for each show in the season. This is a great way to give you and your family the VIP treatment during a production.

Winners of the family show sponsorships receive the following perks:

    • A reserved parking space at the PYT studios for rehearsals
    • Four VIP tickets, T-shirts and mugs for the show
    • Your family or business name incorporated in the production
    • A copy of the show poster, autographed by our cast
    • The DVD, video or book version of your show
    • Recognition as a show sponsor on the event program, Web site and during our curtain speech
    • Input in the cast names for your production
    • Participation fee for one child - yours or as a designated scholarship

The shows that will be auctioned off are: Oliver!, Peter Pan, High School Musical, Charlotte's Web and All Shook Up. PYT counts on the money generated from these sponsorships to offset the cost of a production. Consider making this one of the ways you support PYT. You can even team up with another family and bid together - this is a great way to increase your bidding power and win!
