PYT’s Youth Advisory Board presents the fifth annual
PYT Tony & Techie Awards Oct.7th from 6:30 to 9pm
at the Los Altos Youth Center, 1 N. San Antonio Rd.
This event features awards for on and
back-stage performance, and honors our super
volunteers of the past season.
Participants from each production have voted at the
end of the show for who should win awards in
categories ranging from best vocalist to most
motivated.
At the end of the season, all participants were mailed
a ballot to vote for their favorite show, director,
designer, etc., for the entire season.
The evening includes dinner, the award presentation
and entertainment. Come help us celebrate the end
of the 05-06 season and the beginning of the 06-07
season. Tickets are $20 at the door.

| A Happy "Hollywood" Ending |

PYT held its second annual "Hollywood Hosts" special
fundraising event on Sept. 15 at the Stanford Park
Hotel in Menlo Park.
Attendees enjoyed great food prepared by seven
local restaurants, a silver-screen silent auction,
fantastic entertainment and the opportunity to win
stunning tablescapes by local designers.
Families also bid to win star sponsorships for PYT
shows, which include the coveted dedicated PYT
parking space. Winners for this season were the
Wyman and Dow and Feingold-
Wallach families for Fiddler on the Roof,
the Abel-Lauritzen family and Kranz
& Associates for Thoroughly Modern
Millie, the Healy and Murphy
families for Cinderella, Paul and Susie
Chermak for A Little Princess, and
Paul
DeMartini for Sweet Charity.
In all, the event raised more than $42,000 for PYT
programs and services!

Are you planning to audition for PYT’s next show,
Thoroughly Modern Millie? Get a leg up on
those tricky time steps by enrolling in PYT’s tap
workshop, taught by Kevin Hammond,
choreographer of this season’s Millie and last
season’s Honk! Space is still available in the
four-week workshop for ages 10 and up, which runs
from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. starting this Saturday at PYT.
The cost is $100
Kevin has worked throughout the Bay Area as a
dance instructor and choreographer. Recent
choreography credits include Oklahoma!
(Valley Christian High, San Jose), Anything
Goes (Stage 1, Newark), and Godspell and
Footloose (both for Musical Theatre Works,
San Francisco). As a performer, Kevin has appeared
in such productions as The Music Man,
42nd Street, Joseph and the Amazing
Technicolor Dreamcoat, A Chorus Line,
Cabaret and Grease, among many
others.

Things are getting spooky at the Mountain View
Center for the Performing Arts! Schoolmaster
Ichabod Crane may be dreaming of the beautiful
Katrina Van Tassel, but he meets up with the
headless horseman!
Bring your favorite ghoul or guy to this adaptation of
the classic scary story by Washington Irving.
Playing Oct. 20 at 9:30am and 11:00am, and Oct. 21
at 11:30am and 1:30pm.
