100th Anniversary Council Sponsored Trips
Come join the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas on an amazing adventure to Savannah, Georgia or to Washington, DC. All trips are either for Girl Scout troops or "She and Me" (Girl Scout and Mother/Grandmother/Aunt/Adult Sister). Girls need to have completed at least one year of GS Juniors, or completed 4th grade, by 2012. If we have enough interest from adults, there will be a separate tour for adults only during the same dates. To learn how to enroll in the trips or for any questions, contact Emilie Anderson at 940.243.1314 or eanderson@gsnetx.org or visit www.gsnetx.org/travel.
Play 60 Super Bowl Challenge
Join GSNETX, The National Football League, American Heart Association and United Way of Metropolitan Dallas in participating in the Play 60 Super Bowl Challenge. This program helps Girl Scouts in 3rd-6th grades learn about staying fit so that they can have longer, healthier lives, and integrate physical fitness into their everyday activities. By participating, girls may be eligible for NFL prizes. For more information on how to participate click here.

Sad News to Share
We are saddened to inform you of the passing of Debbi Garrison, who was a longtime friend and volunteer for Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas. Most recently, she served as the SU Manager for 155, as a liaison for the GS Gold Award Committee, as an Adult Education Facilitator, and was going to serve as the Chair of the Adult Recognitions Committee. She was also a Leader for Troop 3150.
GSNETX has established a memorial fund for the benefit of Debbi's daughter, Bryna Garrison. Donations may be made either by check to the address below or via our website.
