June 2011

Summer is beginning to heat up, and our creative juices have been, too ~ it's our pleasure to announce the Greenroofs & Walls of the World Virtual Summit 2011 - Connecting the Planet + Living Architecture: People, Projects & Design!

An event like no other, this is the first virtual conference & expo experience specifically designed for the Greenroof & Greenwall Industry!  Held online on August 23 & 24, 2011, our mission is  to inform, share, and create a global social media experience for imagining, learning & networking via the power of the Internet.

While it's not meant to ever displace the physical experience, it's a greater opportunity to reach more people. And, it's extremely affordable - we're partnering with associations and offering 50% off the $99 Registration Fee making it just $49 with the special promo code, and only $25 for government and students.  Stay tuned for more information about our most exciting news yet!

By the way, there's always a lot going on in the greenroof world, so make sure to stay on top with our weekly review of what's new by watching our This Week in Review video series on GreenroofsTV hosted by Anjuli Velazquez.

2011 Greenroofs & Walls of the World Calendar

June features the MillerCoors Headquarters in Milwaukee, WI. Located within the heart of Miller Valley, the 8,184 sf GreenGrid ultra-extensive greenroof system (2009) was chosen due to weight limitations for the MillerCoors rooftop and arrived pre-grown with a variety of Sedum species specifically selected for this environment. GreenGrid worked closely with MillerCoors to design a highly functional and aesthetically pleasing living roof that can be viewed by more than 100,000 visitors annually while providing an educational experience regarding the importance of clean water to communities, stormwater runoff, and pollutant reduction.
