Environmental Protection Commissioner Cas Holloway announced the 15 winners of DEP's 2011 Green Infrastructure Grant Program. Selected from a total of 52 applications, the 15 winners will share approximately $3.8 million of funds to build green infrastructure projects that will reduce combined sewer overflows and improve water quality in New York Harbor. Green Roofs for Healthy Cities announces co-host agreements with City of Philadelphia and Pennsylvania Horticultural Society for its 9th Annual CitiesAlive Green Roof and Wall Conference, Nov 30-Dec 3, 2011 - Green Cities: Restoring Urban Waters - Recognizing Philadelphia's Leadership on Green Infrastructure for Cleaner Waters and Healthy Communities. The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Committee on Architecture for Education (CAE) has selected13 educational and cultural facilities for this year's CAE Educational Facility Design Awards. The PA Department of Environmental Protection and the Philadelphia Water Department have signed a groundbreaking agreement that will allow PWD to officially implement its Green City, Clean Waters plan.
