DIRECTIONS TO
 KRUM HIGH SCHOOL 
 Both the Dress Rehearsals and the Recital Showcase will be at the Krum High School Performance Center, which takes about 10 minutes to get to from DDC.  Take I-35 North, Exit #471 toward Krum, turn left on US-77, turn left onto the I-35 service road, turn right onto FM1173, go apprx 4 miles, (FM 1173 turns into E. McCart St.) and turn right onto Bobcat Blvd, Krum High School is all the way down Bobcat Blvd, and the Performance Center is a taller bldg on the right.

PLEASE REMEMBER...
 
ALL DANCERS SIT WITH THEIR CLASSES AND THE CLASS MOMS; THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO WATCH THE SHOW FROM THE DRESSING ROOM.  However, IF YOU CHOOSE TO TAKE THEM INTO THE AUDITORIUM, they will only be allowed to leave the dressing room as long as their stage appearances are over.  THEY WILL NEED A TICKET as well as a change of clothes.
 
PLEASE DO NOT BRING DANCERS IN COSTUME INTO THE AUDIENCE!
 
NO VIDEOS OR CAMERAS AT THE RECITALS PLEASE DUE TO COPYRIGHT ISSUES AND FOR THE SAFETY OF THE DANCERS!

Our deadline for registering for DANCEcamp has passed, but we do have slots left in DANCEcamp 1, June 6-10, and DANCEcamp 2, June 13-17th.

DON'T FORGET TO PICK UP YOUR RECITAL TICKETS IN THE OFFICE!!!
Each dancer will receive 2 comp tickets to the recital.  These tickets are in the DDC office Mon thru Thu from 4:30-7pm THRU WED, JUNE 8TH.  IF YOU DO NOT PICK THEM UP IN THE OFFICE, they will be under "Will Call" at the recital on Saturday, June 11th.  THEY WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE AT DRESS REHEARSALS.
Hello DDC Dance Family! 

We are less than a month away from DDC's 23rd Annual Recital Showcase, "Color My World."  If you haven't done so already, please click on the link below to check your dancer's dress rehearsal times:

 

 

Program 1 starts at 12:30pm June 11th, 2011
 (dancers there by 11:45am)
Program 2 starts at 3:30pm June 11th, 2011
 (dancers there by 2:45pm)

 

Your comp tickets (2 per dancer)  are waiting for you in the DDC office (Mon-Thu 4:30-7pm thru June 8th) OR you can pick them up at the door at the Recital. Additional tickets may be purchased at $6/adults & seniors and $4/ages 18 & under.  NO ONE WILL BE ADMITTED WITHOUT A TICKET.

 

All AWARDS (certificates/medallions/trophies) AND RECITAL PICTURES will be available for pick up at the studio during our CUSTOMER APPRECIATION DAY SATURDAY, JUNE 4TH from 10am-1pm. 

 

The dancers have worked very hard this year, and their improvement will be obvious on stage!  I would like to thank each and every one of you for choosing to have your child attend DDC!  We know you have a choice in what your children do and where they go to do it, and I and the faculty of DDC are so very blessed you have chosen us!!!

 The Panhandle House will be video taping our recital again this year.  You can get the order forms in the hallway at DDC OR you can print out a pdf by clicking here and scrolling down to "Showcase Documents"

Remember, we do not allow any photographs or videos to be taken at the recital due to copyright issues and for the safety of the dancers.  The videos will be shot in standard 2-camera format, and cost the same price as the last three years--$34.95  The Panhandle House accepts credit cards, checks, and money orders.  DEADLINE TO ORDER VIDEOS IS JUNE 19TH!!!
Stage Makeup & Ballerina Bun Tutorials
DanceCampers at table Make sure your dancer knows that the only reason dancers wear makeup on stage is to ensure that their features are visible to even the back row of the audience.  We do not wear makeup to be prettier or more handsome! Below are two YouTube videos that may help "de-mystify" the process:
 
CLASS MOMS STILL NEEDED!
Please check the bulletin boards in the DDC hallway to make sure your DanceCampers at tabledancer's class has at least 2-4 class moms PER DANCE. PLEASE CONTACT MS. DEBORAH JACOBS IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS AT (940) 381-2100.  The success of our show really depends on these wonderful ladies, many of whom volunteer year after year! If you have not been able to help for awhile, PLEASE consider helping us out so that the dancers will feel comfortable and be able to find their way to the stage door!

 

PLEASE LABEL YOUR DANCER'S SHOES AND COSTUMES AS THIS MAKES IT MUCH EASIER TO KEEP TRACK OF THEM DURING DRESS REHEARSALS & RECITAL!

 

DRESS REHEARSAL MEANS THAT WE ALL WEAR HAIR, MAKEUP, TIGHTS, AND COSTUMES AS THEY ARE GOING TO BE FOR THE SHOW. 
This way, if there is anything that is unclear, or not uniform, we can address these things before the show.
3-Day BALLET INTENSIVE AT DDC--Aug 15-17th!!!
Class Dncrs at barreDDC is proud to offer a 3-Day Intensive to ballet dancers, ages 11-15, especially designed to help them with audition skills, dance resume building, portforlio, conditioning & flexibility focus, basic choreographic skills, classical ballet variations, and more!!!  Just in time for company try-outs, all classes are taught by Lisa Racina-Torre.

DanceCampers at tableCurrent DDC students are invited to Pre-Register for Fall 2011 classes in order to get the best selection for class times/schedules AND to receive 50% off the normal $20 Registraion Fee!  Your dancer should have received a blue Pre-Registration form at the end of April.  If you did not receive this form, please CLICK HERE to print out another one!
  
ONLY THOSE DANCERS WHO ARE PRE-REGISTERED WILL RECEIVE A CLASS SCHEDULE IN THE MAIL AND ARE GUARANTEED A SPOT IN THE CLASS OF THEIR CHOICE!!!  Do not delay as classes are filled on a first come, first served basis!
Dancers with a balance on their account, will not be allowed to perform.  We have sent End of the Dance Year Statements in hopes that everyone will be able to settle their accounts.  Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns by emailing Lisa at LisaDDC4me@aol.com
