Audrey Merolla is the travel agent that Young Tanzsommer uses. (She is the one who came to our first Austria Meeting last year). She has said that the prices are less expensive if everyone calls her individually, rather than the group rates. She suggested that each of you contact her at your earliest convenience by either emailing her at audreyadv@sbcglobal.netor calling (972) 243-7969 to purchase your travel insurance. Several of our parents have looked into travel insurance and agree that the company she uses is quite legitimate, in business for a long time, and covers just about everything you could think of. If you decide to go with a different company, please make sure that they cover all the scenarios that this one does:)

FUNDRAISER CHECKS FOR THE OTHER FUNDRAISERS WE'VE DONE THIS YEAR WILL BE DISTRIBUTED TO EACH DANCER VERY SOON!
After the Collage 2011: Denton Dance Festival, these checks will be made out to each dancer directly who is attending the Young Tanzsommer Arts Festival. The fundraisers include the flower fundraiser, the used dancewear sale, the electronics recycling, the wreath fundraiser, the DDC fundraiser, and the Nite Out Fundraisers. The money will be distributed evenly amongst 22 dancers. Thank you to all who helped!

 COLLAGE 2011: Denton Dance Festival coming!!! IMPORTANT DANCER INFO-Please Read I want to make sure that everyone understands what to expect during tech week. There are good reasons for all of these rules. Please read EVERYTHING below: - All of the tech rehearsals are CLOSED to the public, including parents. THERE SHOULD BE NO PARENTS IN THE DRESSING ROOMS OR BACKSTAGE OR IN THE AUDIENCE AT ANY TIME! (except to watch our fabulous shows:)
- There will be NO CELL PHONE USAGE in the dressing rooms, backstage, in the audience, etc. Please encourage your dancers to ONLY USE THE CELL PHONE in the Green Room and in order to be picked up. IF THIS RULE IS BROKEN, I WILL CONFISCATE CELL PHONE AND RETURN IT AFTER THE SHOW ON SATURDAY. Believe it or not, we all got along without cell phones not too long ago:)
- No eating/drinking in costume. ONLY WATER WILL BE ALLOWED IN DRESSING ROOMS. Please try to eat BEFORE you come to rehearsal.
- ALL DCCB DANCERS ARE REQUIRED TO STAY AFTER THE LAST PERFORMANCE IN ORDER TO STRIKE THE SET--put away floor, vacuum Green Room and Dressing Rooms, etc. Please be prepared to stay at least 30 minutes after the completion of the Saturday show. (See "Strike Duties" posted at the theatre by Thursday)
- ATTENTION DANCERS IN "On the Edge"--you need to wear a black spaghetti strapped leotard and black biker shorts (not booty shorts) for the stage
- ATTENTION DANCERS IN JASMINE'S JAZZ PIECE--you need to get your own spaghetti strapped cami top in the color of your choice (they are $3-5 at Golden Triangle Mall at L'Patricia, Rainbow, etc.) You will also need your own black jazz pants and black jazz shoes.
- IF YOU DON'T HAVE REHEARSAL ON MONDAY, MARCH 21st, PLEASE GO TO THE 5:30 BALLET LEVEL VI CLASS W/ MR. KINZIE; you will also have Contemporary Class at the regular class times-Level VI at 7pm and Level VII at 8:15. There will be no other level VI or VII ballet or jazz classes, next week.
- THERE ARE STILL REGULAR HIP-HOP CLASSES at DDC on Tuesday, March 22. If you do not have rehearsal at the same time as HH, please go to class at DDC.
- Don't forget to label your pointe shoes and make time to pancake them at the theatre on Monday or Tuesday night.
- ALL DANCERS SHOULD ARRIVE 1 HOUR BEFORE THEIR SCHEDULED ON-STAGE TIME! This will enable you to apply makeup, fix hair, get into costume, and WARM UP before going on-stage.
A special THANK YOU goes to all of our dancers for their hard work, determination, and dedication during the Collage rehearsal process. Just a few more days of patience, diligence, and concentration, and we will have a wonderful show!!!! -Lisa R-

I will also let Young Tanzsommer know about our Tshirt sizes, and who's going on the Castle tour and who's going on the Gondola ride in Venice.
