Hello Everyone!
Miss Annie Rose "shines" in DDC's 22nd Annual Recital Showcase in June! | We hope all of you are enjoying vacation time and resting up for another active and exciting dance year!! After a 10 day trip to Wyoming, and a 2.5 week trip to Michigan, I'll be ready to go this August!! This year we have a couple of changes to talk about-- new and returning faculty, a modest tuition and costume fees increase, a 4-Day WORKSHOP in BALLET from Mr. Allan Kinzie and a dancewear sale! So keep reading, enjoy the rest of your summer- and watch for your class schedules in the mail. You should receive them by July 28th.
HAPPY REST-O-SUMMER!

DDC STRIVES TO MAINTAIN HIGH QUALITY VALUE FOR YOUR CHILDREN
Every now and then we have to take a look at our expenditures vs revenues and this year received the news from our accountant that a couple of changes are in order. We haven't had an increase in several of the tuition categories for 3 years and, in some instances, for 4 years. However, after finalizing surveys of similar studios and class offerings, along with maintaining our highly respected and talented faculty, we have concluded such an increase is necessary at this time. No tuition is increased by more than $15 per month or $3.75 per lesson. There is a small increase in costume fees to help meet the increases given us by the costume companies.
Grandfathered In: Families with three or more students attending class, will be grandfathered in at the 2009-10 tuition fee rate as will those with 10 years or more study with DDC. Please note that in some cases, for level VI & VII, the tuition has decreased due to the "UNLIMITED CLASSES" option having been removed.
Family discounts and Semester/Annual Prepay discounts remain the same.
For a complete explanation of tuition, costume fees, and payment options, please pick up our "Tuition & Fees Policy" handout at the Registration Open House, or email Lisa at LisaDDC4me@aol.com |

José Zamora began his training as a traditional Mexican and Latin American folklorico dancer in La Joya, Texas. After graduating high school, he relocated to Denton, Texas and trained in post-modern dance for four years, receiving his BA in Dance Studies from Texas Woman's University in 2004.
In 2010, Zamora received his Master of Fine Arts degree from Texas Woman's University, where he was also awarded a Jacob K. Javits Fellowship in 2008. This fellowship is awarded by the U.S. Department of Education in selected fields of study in the arts, humanities and social sciences. It is a prestigious award for students who have demonstrated superior academic ability and achievement and exceptional promise. Only 30 people were awarded this fellowship in the United States in 2008-09. With this award, José produced his first evening length contemporary dance concert titled CholoRock, a work inspired by Mexican-American pop-culture and traditions in November 2008. In 2009 and 2010 Zamora toured and has been touring with his company CholoRock Dance Theatre in North and South Texas, as well as in Cholula, Puebla Mexico where he and his company led a residency in La Universidad de las Americas for the second time in April 2010. In April of 2010 Zamora's choreography Curios y Serpentinas was selected to be showcased at the American College Dance Festivals National Gala concert at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.
