DDC TO APPEAR AT THE DENTON ARTS & JAZZ FESTIVAL

Saturday, April 24th
4-4:30pm
(yes, we still have normal Saturday classes:)

Traditionally, participation in the Arts & Jazz Festival is a business decision determined by class attendance, polish, whether or not the choreography is complete, age and level of the dancers, etc.  DDC's appearance needs to give a very brief and bold statement about what we do--in other words, we combined a performance opportunity with an advertising opportunity.  If your child's class is not in the informal appearance, please come and support the other dancers!  Classes that are asked to perform, will receive a handout in class by April 15th.

PIZZA for PIROUETTES at PIZZA INN!!!

All DDC, DYCB, and DCCB dancers are encouraged to eat PIZZA FOR PIROUETTES on
Thursday, April 8th between 5-9pm

This is one of the fundraisers suggested by some of the Denton City Contemporary Ballet dancers and will be used to benefit those dancers who are going to Austria in June of 2011 to perform in the Young Tanzsommer Arts Festival!  We need as many dancers, families, and friends as we can get to support the Denton City Contemporary Ballet!  The dance company will receive 15% of the net profits of all sales made between 5-9pm on Thursday, April 8th.  YOU MUST MAKE SURE TOTELL THE CASHIER BEFORE HE RINGS UP THE BILL that you're eating to support the Denton City Contemporary Ballet, (otherwise, it's too hard to redo the whole bill etc.)  You can also order pizza over the phone or for take out that night and Denton City Contemporary Ballet will still get credit for it as long as you TELL THE CASHIER BEFORE HE RINGS UP THE BILL that you're eating to support the Denton City Contemporary Ballet.

Miss Lisa is considering excusing the Level 6 & 7 Ballet classes so that we can all go eat pizza that night!!!  Please let her know what you think of this idea!  HAPPY EATING!!!!!

What a great compliment and recognition for our dancers! We will be holding a lot of fundraisers to help as many to go in the Denton City Contemporary Ballet and Denton Youth City Ballet companies as possible!! You do have to be a member of the non-profit organization to go.  Again, applause for Mr. Clower for giving us a hand up to a higher level of dance performance and participation!!
