Congratulations to Miss Hannah & Miss Tori!!!
As most of you know, we have two graduating Seniors this year: Miss Hannah Guidry and Miss Tori Helfrich, both of whom are on DDC's Faculty this year. What you may not know is how successful they both have been auditioning for college dance programs around the country.

Miss Hannah Guidry has studied dance at DDC since she was 4 years old. She has performed with the Denton Youth City Ballet and the Denton City Contemporary Ballet for 7 years. Hannah is a senior at Little Elm High School, is a member of the National Honor Society, and also teaches jazz, ballet and tap at DDC. Hannah was recently accepted into both the dance departments and the academic departments of Columbia University in Chicago and University of Illinois at Champaigne-Urbana. Just a few weeks ago Hannah was awarded the Dean's Scholarship to Texas Christian University in the amount of $52,000 over four years!!! We are so proud of Miss Hannah and we know she will be very successful wherever she choose to attend college!!! Congratulations Hannah!!!

Miss Tori Helfrich has been studying dance at DDC since the age of 4 as well. She has also performed with the Denton Youth City Ballet and the Denton City Contemporary Ballet for the passed 7 years. Tori is a Senior at Ponder High School and also teaches ballet and tap at DDC. Tori has recently been accepted into some of the most exclusive college dance departments in the country, among them Butler University in Indiana and Texas Christian University. She has also been accepted to University of Kansas, and the Bosov Ballet's Company Apprentice program. Miss Tori is also a member of the National Honor Society!
It has been an honor to teach these two exceptionally talented, smart, and dedicated young women, and to watch them grow! We are all so very proud of both of you, Ladies!!! Way to go!!!
PS. I'm sure it's all those years of ballet lessons that's made both of you so very smart! |

Not Too Late to Order "Emma" Video--Deadline Wednesday, Jan. 13th
Because we were a bit late handing out the video order forms for "A Gift for Emma," we are extending the order deadline through this Saturday. Please print out a video order form from our website, BUT DON'T MAIL IT! Bring it to the studio and put it in the check box up front by the candy machine with a check included, made out to T-Rice Productions. Because Mr. Rice has moved to Tennessee, Miss Lisa will mail the forms to him there.
We expect the videos back by the middle of February. They will be delivered to the studio, and you can pick them up there.

Rhynes Family is Recovering from Car Accident
Morgen was a "Collector's Doll" and Meadow was a "Sea Sprite" in the recent "A Gift for Emma" production
Two of our dancers, Morgen Rhynes (age 9) and Meadow Rhynes (age 5), their little brother, JJ, and their Father were in a very serious head-on collision the night of Christmas Eve. Morgen has been cleared to return to school next Monday, and Meadow is improving daily. Mr. Rhynes has a broken leg and the little brother, JJ is doing great! Please go to the following link to read about their recovery, send thoughts and messages to them, and receive email updates as to their progress.
We would like to have dancers and parents sign Get Well cards for both Morgen and Meadow. The cards will be in the hallway until next Thursday the 14th. Please take the time to let the Rhynes Family know how much we care. |
