Recital & End of Year Update
June 08, 2009 For Students and Families of Denton Dance Cons.
Hi Everyone-Customer Appreciation Day Update!
We're nearing the end of our school year and preparing for a summer of fun in the sun, travel and lots of good rest! Our Customer Appreciation Day open house, went GREAT! Lots of friends came by and picked up their pictures, certificates and awards. Our drawings were for two Recital Makeup Kit s, and a Scrapbook Kit . We are still selling raffle tickets for a FREE SEMESTER of DANCE (up to $82 per month) for $2 or 3 for $5.  The drawing for that will be during the recital.   Special thanks to Tracy Jones and Renee Phillips for running a dancewear sale to benefit Denton City Contemporary Ballet!! We made $373.00 and thank all who participated!  We do appreciate all of your support and your confidence in the teaching done at DDC! We hope you continue to help us "stay on our toes" for you!   
Those who did not come and pick up their awards, t-shirts or pictures, please do so this Mon, Tues or Wed at the studio!    --   Lisa Racina, Dir--

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE

Although we don't have a personal stake in the show this season, it's a great dance show and you can pick up a lot of tips about choreography as well as new dance steps!

PLEASE REMEMBER
 
ALL DANCERS SIT  WITH THEIR CLASSES AND THE CLASS MOMS; THEY will not be ABLE TO WATCH THE SHOW  from the dressing room. Howeverf,  IF YOU CHOOSE TO TAKE THEM INTO THE AUDITORIUM , THEY WILL NEED A TICKET as well as a change of  clothes.
 
PLEASE DO NOT BRING DANCERS IN COSTUME INTO THE AUDIENCE.!

NO VIDEOS OR CAMERAS AT THE RECITALS PLEASE DUE TO COPYRIGHT ISSUES WITH THE MUSIC.

Deadlines Looming
DEADLINE FOR PRE-REGISTRATION FORMS IS JUNE 30TH!!!!! DON'T DELAY!!!! Miss Lisa is solidifying the instructors' schedules now and will be sending fall dance schedules by July 20th to those who have pre-registered.

RECITAL UPDATES DDC's 21st Annual Recital Showcase thisSaturday, June 13th at 12:30 for Program I, DANCERS THERE BY 11:45AM; and 3;30 for Program II,  DANCERS THERE BY 2:45

The CLASS MOM COORDINATOR, Deborah Jacobs, will be on hand to answer your questions and give you a runthrough of your responsibilities as well as a cast list for your group. She will also have identifying tags for you to wear both during rehearsal and during performance You are to stay with the dancers during the show.

NOTE. It is not necessary for Ushers or ticket sellers to attend this meeting. However please be at the aud. an hour before the shows.

 
CLASSES HELD THIS WEEK

 WE DO HAVE REGULAR CLASSES MONDAY, TUESDAY, AND WEDNESDAY! Dress Rehearsal for program I is Thursday at Sanger High School Aud. and Program II on Friday.
 
NO CLASSES ON SATURDAY (JUNE 13) MORNINGS DUE TO SHOWS THAT DAY AT SANGER HIGH.!

don't' forget to pickup your free tickets in the office for the show. Additional tickets $5 per adult, $3 per child 17 and under.

Directions to RECITAL
Take I-35 No. toward Sanger, take FM 455 exit, go EAST (rt), go approx. 1 mile to the high school on your right. 
LAST MINUTE REMINDERS:
 
 RECITAL SHOWCASE VIDEO ORDER FORMS ARE AT THE STUDIO IN THE HALLWAY! T-Rice Productions will be video taping the show again this year 
 
Don't forget to pick up your tickets in the office--all families receive two free tickets per dancer!
 
Don't forget to plan to stay at the recital as long as possible to allow for a nice audience for everyone's dancer!
