Welcome

Greetings!

Spring has sprung! Have you noticed that people have an extra "spring" in their step and a smile on their face? I have! Neighbors are in their gardens, kids are playing outside, and around here, the beaches have been very busy!

This weekend I'm trying something new! My friend Donna and I are participating in "Art in Bloom" at the Art Complex Museum in Duxbury. This is an through our  Community Garden Club of Duxbury showcasing the Winter Juried Show of the Duxbury Art Association.  We chose a piece called "A Touch of Orange" by Ted Polomis -- it just drew us in! I can't wait to see what we create. I'll share it on Facebook, if you want to see, be sure to "like" our page.

Are you trying something new this spring? We'd love to hear about it!

Cheers,

401(k) Transparency

If you have a 401(k) plan at work, you may be seeing changes in the way you receive information about your plan before the year is up.

Typically, 401(k) plan participants are on their own when it comes to making decisions regarding investments. The Department of Labor (DOL) has become concerned that participants might not have access to critical information regarding their plans, especially relating to investment choices, fees and expenses.

As a result, the DOL has issued new regulations for rollout in 2012. It will require self-directed 401(k) plans to provide detailed information to participants about the plan, as well as its investments, on a regular basis.
