Greetings!
Year Round Stewardship Calendar Begins with December 2010
We are excited to announce the Diocesan Year Round Stewardship Program, now available online. Released to coincide with the first Sunday in Advent (November 28, 2010), which marks the beginning of our Church Year, the year-round calendar gives congregations suggestions and resources to renew and embrace the challenge of living a life of year 'round stewardship.
Each month, the church season is explained and a theme is identified around which individual and congregational activities might take place in five recurring categories: Spiritual Growth, Ministry Spotlight, Financial Health, Outside Ourselves and God's Creation.
This program is a work-in-progress with December through February completed including themed activities, resources and links which support the five categories. March through July will have resources and links added over the next few months.
Use as many or as few of the suggestions and resources offered. Be brave and creative, and custom-fit the ideas to your congregation. As you come up with your own ideas, send them to us at nancy.stinson@dwtx.org, and we will add them to the calendar. Current contributors include Bishop Reed, the Rev. Lisa Mason, Marjorie George, Leslie Mixson, Ted Burkhart, Kirk Mason and Nancy Stinson.
And remember, Stewardship is what we do with all that God has given us, all the time. FULL INFORMATION on the diocesan website, click here.
