The market has been open Saturdays in the parking lot adjacent to the skate park for 5 weeks now, averaging 9 vendors and 175 visitors per week.  Just a block off Main Street, Thursday shopping will be ideal for folks who work and shop on Main Street and the immediate vicinity. Colette Nester will join the market this week with fresh pork and sausage from Crosscreek Farm.

Alleghany Care & Rehabilitation along with Mountain Valley Hospice will be hosting a cancer support group called "Inspired by Sissy". One of our Certified Nursing Assistants, Betty Williams, a.k.a. "Sissy",  has been affected on many different levels by this terrible disease yet she continues to give of herself day after day. Her peers chose to host this event in her honor, as she inspires so many with her selfless acts of kindness. The Certified Nursing Assistants also chose to host the event during the "CNA" week celebration. This interactive group is open to anyone that has been affected by cancer. Kelly Ingram of Mountain Valley Hospice will be presenting "The Cracked Pot". Please come join us June 21 from 3-4p at Alleghany Care & Rehabilitation and be "inspired by Sissy".
