New Agent Confidential Pricing Guide

In an effort to provide the best service possible to our agents, we will be introducing a confidential comprehensive Pricing Guide. In preparation for this launch, we have created 4,600 discrete catalog numbers and over 46,000 internal pricing options. This will give our agents direct access to pricing for the vast majority of our offering plus many specific adders and options, providing competitive 15% and 10% pricing levels for your every day needs. This tool will allow the agents the expedite pricing requests while improving our response time for larger, more complex projects requiring individual attention.

These files will be provided electronically in our standard family format, making it easy to navigate and use. In addition, they will include links to specification sheets to aid in confirming details and options. We are currently in the beta testing phase with this new offering. Please give us you candid feedback if requested. We look forward to having this new tool in our agents' hands by the end of September.

Commissions:

Based on feedback from our agents, we have increased the commission levels for most of our product offering. In addition, all pricing in this guide will qualify for overage!!

Our goal is to be user-friendly and profitable for our agents. Thank you for supporting PMC Lighting. Good selling!

New Factory Initiative: Highest Standards In
Safety Culture
PMC Lighting Factory Crew 2012

Over the past year, we have shared with you many of the improvements, upgrades, and developments that have been initiated at PMC Lighting. Perhaps one of the most significant but least tangible is our overall approach to safety. This isn't simply a guideline or a risk assessment, this is a dramatic change in culture and thinking that affects every employee and every function at our factory. Following OSHA guidelines, we have spend countless hours re-writing safety procedures, training workers and improving equipment safeguarding mechanisms. This new factory initiative has been established to create a workplace free of incidents and injuries and to integrate safety and health into every aspect of the work process.

By adapting this organizational atmosphere where safety and health is a top priority, we are meeting the stringent standards of OSHA's SHARP Program. The Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program recognizes small businesses that have implemented exemplary safety and health management systems within their organization. This distinction will reinforce our internal company philosophy of safety and health as a core value.
Meet Jay Goldstein, Master Planner/Scheduler

Jay Goldstein, Master Planner/Scheduler
Jason Golstein (Jay) is the Master Planner/Scheduler at PMC Lighting and has been with the company for over fourteen years. His job affects every stage of a sales order through the system. These areas of responsibility include order scheduling, inventory, freight expediting, material purchasing and customer service. Jay has been overhauling the internal manufacturing systems of the company over the last five years, culminating in the institution of a state-of-the-art ERP/MRP program.

This MRP system created and maintains the master production schedule:
  • Loading work centers
  • Setting safety stock
  • Triggering purchase limits
  • Creating and scheduling job orders
  • Creating bills of material, routing paths
  • Resource management
  • Quality Control

This recent achievement has dramatically improved efficiency, productivity, on time performance and quality.

PMC's Master Planner/Scheduler resides in West Warwick, RI and has been married for 12 years with two children. Jay recently received his AS in Accounting and is currently pursuing a BS in Accounting at Rhode Island College. In his free time, he enjoys coaching baseball. He is an avid country music fan and enjoys Toby Keith and Rascal Flats. After a long, hot day, Jay's favorite pastime is to unwind beside his pool with his family. Yes, he is a Redskins fan but also "roots for the Pats when the 'Skins are done'" along with his son, Cory.
