Costumes for the Holiday Show
kel

We will be measuring your children for the costume pieces that SDC will be providing. We ask that parents provide a base costume. SDC provides the rest!

For example, a hip hop student may receive a T-shirt and hat from SDC and parents are asked to  provide  basketball shorts, socks, and shoes of their own. A ballet student may receive a tutu and headpiece from SDC and parents are asked to provide a leo of certain color, tights, and shoes.

You will soon receive a list of the items we ask that you provide. There is a $20 charge for the costume pieces that SDC will provide. There is a charge for each class your child is performing in and will appear on your next statement

Please provide additional sizing information for your child by completing the form that will be handed out in class next week. Turn it in to the front desk no later than October 31st.

Thank you!

Sick Students

With the flu season approaching, we would like to ask you to abide by the following guidelines when deciding if you should send your child to dance class.

Keep your child home if he or she has the follow symptoms:

  • A fever of 100 degrees or more within the last 24 hours.
  • A contagious virus or a bacterial infection such as pink eye.
  • An uncontrollable cough.
  • An unidentified skin rash.

Your child can make up their class in a similar class anytime within 30 days. We would rather have your child have a productive class when they are healthy rather than to sit out feeling unable to dance. If you are not sure if you should send your child to class, call us at SDC and we can help.

Thank you for your cooperation!

Parent Volunteers

If you would like to volunteer to help backstage at the show "JOY!" please sign up at front desk and come to the Parent Volunteer meeting on Monday, November 7th at 5:30pm at SDC.

We would like two parent volunteers for each class level pre-3.

We would like 1 volunteer for each level 4 class.

We would like 3 room volunteers for level 5-6.

We would like 2 male volunteers for the boys dressing room.

We would like 4 Volunteer ushers.

For the Holiday Show, volunteers receive a free bouquet of flowers to give their child and a SDC memorable gift to give their child. If you volunteer for the spring show, parent volunteers will receive 1 free DVD of the show.

If your child is involved in the Victorian Country Christmas Nativity and you would like to help Annalise with a few backstage tasks during any of the shows please email Annalise at annaliseblue@aol.com

As always your support is very much appreciated!
