President's Message
It is hard to believe summer is over, school has started and another Society year has begun. Last year went by fast. I really want to acknowledge the leadership of Larry Boyd, last year's president, for his tenure. Larry was a pleasure to work with. His steady, calm demeanor kept us moving in a direction to further lay a foundation for building a stronger and better Society.
This is National Insurance Awareness Month and offers a perfectly appropriate way to kick off our year. With the pending election, tax law changes and uncertain economy, insurance must be a part of our conversation with our clients as it can certainly play a very important role in protecting families and providing a very efficient source for generational planning. This is especially so this year. Please take a few minutes to renew your membership if you have not done so already. Also, I encourage everyone to become a Key Club member if you are not one. This allows you to get a discount to our luncheons. Yes, it's that time of year to take care of all the paperwork. This really not only helps you, but also helps us in planning our monthly meetings. Thank you for tending to this. I am excited about our year and serving as your president. The board and I welcome your input, feedback and ideas as we move forward. I know together we can continue to improve the Houston Society and build on the heritage and legacy that has been handed us.
