DMLC Class of '52
Coming Back...
Giving Back

One of the greatest blessings an MLC education provides is the lifelong friendship of like-minded believers. Several classes have recently reunited to reminisce about days gone by and to share encouragement. As part of their gatherings, some have also chosen to show their appreciation by leaving a gift to support the ministry and school they hold dear. The MLC family thanks the following classes for their generous contributions:

  • DMLC Class of '52...seven outdoor benches to beautify the campus
  • DMLHS Class of '59...Early Childhood Learning Center building fund
  • DMLC Class of '61...historical signage to share our blessed heritage
Upcoming reunions include:
  • DMLHS Class of '56...September 13-14
  • DMLC Class of '62...September 20-22
If you'd like to get your DMLC, DMLHS, MLC, or NWC class together and would appreciate assistance in finding your classmates and getting your event organized, please contact the alumni office at 877-652-1995 x 387.
Smiling with Sprinter

The Sprinter statue, a gift from St Matthew - Milwaukee to NWC at the dedication of its gymnasium in 1912, turns 100 years old this October. The fall InFocus issue hopes to feature pictures of you and your family/friends in front of the century-old statue. We need your pictures! Please send them to [email protected] or MLC Alumni Relations, 1995 Luther Ct, New Ulm, MN 56073. Identification of the individuals in the picture (as well as any interesting tidbits about them or the picture) is appreciated. On a related note, Luther Prep School is hosting a series of concerts celebrating the century-old NWC gymnasium (now LPS auditorium). Next is a September 23 concert featuring cornetist Pat Backhaus. Included will be a tribute to artists that performed in the gym over the years, including the Von Trapp Family Singers.

Do you recognize this somewhat obscure campus location? Click here to enter your guesses in the Name the Spot competition. Those who correctly identify all four "mystery locations" will be eligible to win an MLC prize pack. Pictures can also be viewed on p. 28 of the summer InFocus magazine. The deadline has been extended to October 1 as we failed to update the web page in a timely manner. Sorry!
