Dear Friends,
I'm excited to announce that, with full support of the Board of Directors, Debbie Lund has been promoted to Executive Director of Baby's Space and Tatanka Academy. For more than 12 years, Debbie has been a consistent smiling face, a major contributor to building our curriculum and a powerful relationship builder with staff, children, parents and the communities we serve.

Debbie Lund |
Debbie started as a toddler teacher in 2000 and quickly developed strong ties to Baby's Space. She's served as center director for more than 7 years. As executive director she will oversee Baby's Space and Tatanka Academy. She'll hire and train staff, work with families and oversee operations.
Deb's impact at Baby's Space is profound as she has touched the lives of hundreds of children and families. She strongly believes in operating the center, coaching her staff and interacting with children from a baby's point of view. Our congratulations to Debbie Lund.
Best Regards,
Terrie Rose

Heroes Chris Bray
| Chris Bray volunteering at the carnival |
Chris Bray is a new face at Baby's Space but her commitment and contributions are great.
Chris works professionally in juvenile justice and a few years ago, a colleague invited her along on a tour of Baby's Space. The tour had immediate impact on Chris. "I was struck by the incredible nurturing environment and the learning that Baby's Space provides for infants and children who often live in difficult conditions," said Chris. "I was also struck by the research behind the model, Terrie's thoughtfulness in implementing the model and the importance she places on fidelity."
Chris quickly became involved at Baby's Space by attending the spring fundraiser and joining the board. Her husband Tim and children Chris and Brenna have attended the fundraiser and volunteered at the August carnival.
Chris was recently elected chairperson of the board of directors. Her experience working with children and youth is invaluable and her commitment to the board is shown in the time and professionalism she gives. Chris Bray is a hero at Baby's Space. Thank you, Chris! |

Strawberries & Bears at Family Night
A beloved tradition at Baby's Space is our monthly Family Night. We chose a theme from a book, make dinner and families gather.
| A play was performed | In September, our book was "The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry,
and the Big Hungry Bear." Everyone received a strawberry to keep safe from the big hungry bear. There was a play based on the book. Thanks to Jacob and Connie Bruce for making the props. We also thank the volunteers from Temple Israel who helped serve dinner and assisted with the play.
