Greetings!

Welcome to June!  So much for the lazy days of summer!  The weather in Victoria, BC, Canada isn't really cooperating for that!  One thing that is heating up however is the labour market! Lots of job opportunities out there and lots of businesses looking to increase their staffing levels.  This is keeping Engaged HR busy which is great!

Summer is also a great time to get staff out of the office and interacting in a different way.  Company picnics, Wednesday bbq lunches in the parking lot, and encouraging staff get a jump on their weekend by closing at 2 pm on Friday are all ways to inject some positive energy into your workplace after a hard working winter.  I feel a blog post coming on with more great ideas!
