My how fast a week goes by! Time for another issue of the Engaged HR newsletter!
There has been a lot of talk in the news this week about the low unemployment rate seen in BC. We are at an unemployment rate of 6.7% compared to 8.7% at the same time last year. I don't often pay attention to the stats however, what I notice is that there are a lot more job ads and job postings and it seems that businesses are more optimistic about the coming months. This is a good thing for everyone - an optimistic business community means an stronger local economy. And went the sun is shining like it finally is in Victoria, we can all enjoy a little optimism!
